shark lover needs dive buddy bad

hmmmmmmm.... diving with just a bikini......blond and cute..... All the shark dive I have done required a full suit with boots.....I guess flesh can look like fish near the surface........ "need a buddy bad".......not the the way i think most would ask...... Could be more to this...

    Boots and latex socks

I have a TUSA drysuit with integrated hard sole boots...I also have a Whites Catalyst 360 with soft boots which I use Hollis Overboots with.... I much prefer the integrated hard sole boots.....I find it more comfortable (the soft socks can "bunch up").....you can carefully add some air to...

    Pony/Redundant Set-up

The dude with all the tanks has a far far bigger issue - clear skirt mask.....:shocked2: M

    Do you travel with tanks?

Soooooo....... Stage bottles are used to provide additional gas on dives where the back-mounted tanks alone cannot carry a sufficient quantity by themselves. Like deco bottles, stage bottles should be aluminum (instead of steel) for their superior buoyancy characteristics. The most commonly...

Which Suunto is right for me?

Buy two Zoops (or used Gekko/Vypers) and a SPG........ For less $$ than the other options you have redundant computers and a simpler system.... If you need a compass slide on of these cool ScubaPro minis on the band, perfect for getting back to the boat or figuring out which way to shore...

Air 2 Octo/inflators -- why the heated debate?

CD.....No, I have done entire dives on the octo/inflator just for fun...... As I stay horizontal for the dive, I just use my butt vent if needed..... If vertical and ascending it is not an issue as my mouth is higher than the top of the wing..... I normally descend head first, venting...

Air 2 Octo/inflators -- why the heated debate?

Put a longer corrugated hose on the wing/BC....Dive Rite Express sells a 22" hose.... Add a 60" Miflex primary regulator hose and you have zero issues sharing air..... When not in use the octo/inflator is clipped to the waist left D-Ring....... M

Is 26# lift capacity enough for deep dives?

Great posts.....lots of detail..... In warm water with a 3 mil I use a 18 lb wing.....but my post is not about BCD lift.... I would also recommend adding a DSBM with finger spool to your rig...... It can serve multiple purposes..... Backup buoyancy device, you can clip it to your BCD...

Air 2 Octo/inflators -- why the heated debate?

So my first rig was a TUSA DUO AIR on a TUSA BC...... Went BP/W and then did long hose, bungeed regs...even on my warm water travel rig...... Airlines started charging for luggage, bought an UW camera rig, I got a lot better with my buoyancy (the main reason I got rid of the TUSA)....plus...

Anyone using Ikelite W20 or any other WA Lense with Ikelite housing for Canon S95?

I have the W20 with Ike housing for my S90.... It works great.....I do have to unscrew the lens to get all the bubbles out right after I hit the water...... M

    18lb wing with STA?

coralcruiser..... I just got an DR Ultralight to use with my 18 lb Oxy Razor wing..... Curious how you will like it....... I like the compact size and weight..... Not sure I like the way the wing pushes into your back with the wing inflated..... I was using a AL plate and it...

    Regulators for Tech Diving

This becomes a difficult topic.... I have a SP MK25/550 reg that free flowed on me in 38 degree water.....others have them and dive them in even colder water without issue..... As far a service cost I don't see that here with LDS..... Just my thoughts.....M

    Regulators for Tech Diving

One of the few regulators that I have never ever seen free flow in cold water..... Prefer the side exhaust - easy to fill lift bags and DSMBs with even taking the reg out of your mouth...... If there is a first stage failure or IP creep, the second stage has a relief valve on the hose so...

Do You Really Trust Rental Gear?

It depends on the Dive Op....... I have used some great rental gear in Maui, Spain, Italy and the Red Sea.....I have bought former rentals from my LDS for my family...... If i would dive with an op, I would use their rental gear......biggest issue for me is the boat, the crew and breathing...

Lift Capacity Question: HOG 4.5ft SMB

I have never used the H oral inflate, but I have heard good things about them.... My Carter look very similar to the Buddy SMB, just 6 foot tall vice 1.4 M..... I keep 30 feet of line on my finger spool and normally deploy it while waiting at 15 feet....helps pass the time..... So my...
