Go to a steel tank that stays negative unlike an AL80.....
26 lbs of lead seems high for someone with your height/weight profile.....
Have some weigh you can carry and put on once you are closer to your dive point (such as ditchable weight pouches) that you or someone can carry out to for you...
I am no pro but I would go manual - 1/250 F5 or 5.6 (higher if macro subject) set strobe to fire without pre-flash at about 3/4 power angled a bit outward...

I make it a point to use both my secondaries on EVERY dive, I switch between them all the time just for fun.....
This does a bunch of stuff.....keeps me in practice of taking the reg out of my mouth without holding my breath, I stay familiar with where all my gear is including re-stowing it...

I tried the 2 bungee loops but on my BP the holes were a bit far apart, so the SMB could pop out on giant stride entires so I prefer this method because it holds the SMB close to the center.....

Squeeze handle works for me, we often search for old bottles so it is nice to let go and just have the reel hang there, I have also been know to attach my bottle bag to it as well......

While a Scuba Magazine Review may not be the definitive fin test...it does compare a number of fins side by side under the same conditions with the same evaluators...
But fins are very subjective - I had a set of Hollis F1s, sorta like a SP Lighting Jets with a better foot pocket, my drysuit...
I agree DIN is only if that is what you dive regularly - my cold water reg is DIN and I dive DIN LP95s locally......
My travel reg is yoke, since that is vast majority of rentals - the good old AL80......
I use a 5 ft Phantom on my travel reg, it is very comfortable....

All our diving up here is done with hoods, gloves, booties and layers......
