    Life expectancy of dive computers?

You're throwing perfectly good batteries in the trash which only adds to the pollution problem. Also every time you replace the battery you're disturbing the seal which increases the chances of a flood and destruction of your computer at worst, and at the very least, the loss of the use of the...

NITROX for any and all dives?

Sure I'll pay for your diving. If your test results show that you do in fact feel better after diving the tanks that are subsequently found to contain Nitrox. If they do not, then you pay me whatever it cost you for those dives.

    Life expectancy of dive computers?

DSS makes replacement boots for the Oceanic line and you can swap the straps for bungees as we've done with ours. Easier to slip on, no adjustments necessary and they don't loosen up during the dive when you get to depth and the wetsuit sleeve compresses. .

    Life expectancy of dive computers?

Here's a nice pic of the evolution of the Oceanic VT line, excluding the VTX for which the reviews are very poor. I love the simple basic user interface of the VT pro.

    Backscatter Flip Filter Dimensions?

1 1/4" or 36 mm inside on the longest dimension, 1 3/4" or 43 mm outside. Got it right here on my desk, came in today's mail to replace the one I lost when I removed the Flip system from my Hero 4 and forgot to take the frame off, thanks to Backscatter for replacing it quickly and for only a...

    Life expectancy of dive computers?

I'm still using the VT Pro, I currently own 6 of them plus 2 additional transmitters so me and my GF have backups to our backups- these computers don't come up for sale very often. I tried the VT3, and ended up selling it and going back to the VT Pro. I find the user interface to be simpler...

    Life expectancy of dive computers?

You should get a lot more life out of your dive computer than you did.

NITROX for any and all dives?

Speak for yourself dude. I can't possibly get any better looking and even if I could I'd be fending the women off in droves as I tried to make my way down the street.

NITROX for any and all dives?

@RIHappyDiver That's why there's gotta be multiple trials, over time the tank chosen for the first dive would approach 50/50 Air vs Nitrox. Just like flipping a coin. You do it 100 times you're going to get heads about half the time.

I'm putting those pictures on my refrigerator so I see them when I head downstairs for a midnight snack.

NITROX for any and all dives?

What's great about my proposed challenge is that you can define "feeling better and "less tired" or "less fatigued" any way you want! Just pick which of the two tanks is more beneficial in regard to those factors, however you care to define them and report back. I can't run the test on myself...

NITROX for any and all dives?

I propose a Nitrox anti-fatigue challenge, to be taken only by those divers who insist it makes them feel better and/or less fatigued. Get a trusted buddy to either analyze your 2 tanks or at least make a note of the cylinder numbers and face them away from you as you analyze and then have your...

Looking for Dive Charter in Ft. Lauderdale

Don't forget to go through the gate when you get to the parking lot and grab a ticket that you can validate for $5 on the way out. The dive shop is pretty much straight ahead, the boat is docked to the left, at the North-West corner of the lot facing the main road that you came in on. If you go...

NITROX for any and all dives?

No need to apologize, there's no doubt that you feel less tired, just like people who are given a placebo in controlled clinical studies show improvement. It's unclear why, but when we believe something is going to make us feel better, it often does.

NITROX for any and all dives?

I'm glad to see that there was not a single post advocating the questionable and unproven use of Nitrox over 21% because it supposedly "gives the diver more energy" or "makes him or her feel better".

    Key West dive shop

I didn't realize it took that long. But then again I think you're talking during the busy times. When I've made the trip to Key West from Key Largo to catch an early boat we left at around 5 am and it took about 2 hours.
