Humbolt squid are pretty stinkin viscious dudes. I remember seeing the squid vid from Nature (Nova?) several years ago that showed Clyde Roper (Mr. Giant Squid) in a cage during a humbolt feeding frenzie when one swam into the cage with him and "nipped" him on the leg!
I just have to say that this is a great board! I love the categorical arrangement and having experts on hand such as Doc Deco and Doc V, et al is very nice.

Speaking as a biologist, breathing has nothing to do with the need for O2 but the need to expell CO2. :shakeno:
;)
I found for me that breathing on a count works great for me. I breath in on a 4-5 count, pause slightly (keeping my airway open!) and then breath out on a 5-7 count. When I...
I'm still using the NAUI log-book I got when I cert'd. I liked the three-ring binder/organizer ideas you guys had. I think I might have to make a change sometime in the near future.
I can install doubles on my ScubaPro Classic, however, I don't know how stable it would be.
If you plan to do a lot of diving with doubles, than a BP and wings may be the best way to go.
Let us know what you decide.

I love mine. I keep it clipped to my inflator hose while diving, day or night. It's a great back-up light at night and works great as a "nook and cranny" light in the day. The ability to strap it to a hose keeps it out of the way yet accessible.

Hay O-ring,
I have dove in ET a time or two and once in Lake Murkey (Murray). Other than that, I have been up to Oronoga once. I lived in Florida for three years and did most of my diving there at West Palm and the Keys.
I am thinking about getting some Okies together for a trip this...
I have my knife strapped to my right shoulder (solid shoulders).
I have my slate and fish ID card on a d-ring over my left BCD pocket, which has a pass-through behind for convenient storage of the slate and card.
I keep a pair of telecom snips in a zipper pocket in my left pocket flap...
I have a ScubaPro Classic. Although nothing fancy, it is a good, general use, recreational diving BCD. I have had no major complaints with it. It has plenty of lift and I love the strap a lot over the typical "cam" buckle thingie.

I've been thinking about the Dacor Vipor regs. Does anyone have any experience with any of these, good or bad? What do you think about them and about Dacor in general?
Thanks,

I have a scubapro air 2 on my BCD but I haven't ever used it except as an inflater. It is badly in need of service. I have a seperate octo.
What do you guys think of your Alternate Inflation Regs?
