I was using one in the pool last weekend and it started beeping and displaying "Er". I had a Stinger on the other wrist and it was fine. Not sure what was going on .. it may have been the frequancy of sampling as it was set to 2sec on Mosquito and 20sec on Stinger .. and both were in Guage/Free...

chris I've had this problem with air getting trapped as well , and while I don't have a soldering iron .. I have tried to use a hole punch but it didn't reach where I wanted the hole.. and was considering a cut with a knife ... just a small one

It sounds like a world away from rec / tech diving and it should be respected as such.

Interesting .. I'd never thought of diving in India .. I always think of it as an eating and relaxation type of holiday ... and by the sounds of it ... that might be the right sort of trip to take there...

KAt, I started reading this post and it didn't seem like something I had written, but it had sonic sitting there... then I read the name ... oh someone else that uses sonic... way to go. Sonic rocks.

Of course both have their plus points as BC's. Personally I see the Halcyon as the way to go, from the point of swapping the wings between single and double dives. And the total simple nature of it. But each to their own. Best bet hire one and try it out.

Greg, I'm guessing that it will be posted on your website and we can drop you a line to express interest. I have Sipadan in early Jan .. then not sure what's planned for the year .. but more deco diving would be good. Need the experience before I visit Bikini Atoll. Have fun in Australia.

I can relate to that.. fell from the waggon at a rugby game with friends as we were all drinking... but I see the wagon and want to climb back on... like looks better from up there...

For the last 20years, never miss it .. cause I never liked it in the first place... there is much great tasting food that is vegi.. .. go forth and experiement. :-)
