I'm in the Philippines so shipping it is probably not feasible.

    Wanted Apeks Black Sapphire

I have one but I am only trying to get rid of the 2nd stage because it is freakin' heavy. Changed it out to XTX 50's.

    Perdix storage during surface interval?

Wetsuit pockets between dives. I also have a loop of cord with a bolt snap where I snap my computer, compass, SMB, reels, GoPros, mirror, cutters and whatever else. I Just hang it on a visible convenient spot, and at the end of the day, all my instruments are in one bunch which I can take to my...

    DIY Nitrox Analyzer (Arduino based)

If you just want to have a functioning unit without understanding anything about microcontrollers, use the same exact hardware and follow the connection diagram exactly. This might be a little hard to do especially if you cannot get the exact same modules with the same pinouts. You can watch...

Pony Bottle: Valve On or Off while diving

Half full Al80 rigged as a deco/stage bottle. Neutrally buoyant. Where I come from, they are the de facto rental bottle. You only need the rigging kit and reg. Valve is FULLY CLOSED but reg is "charged" to prevent water ingress. Contingency gas is why you sling a pony anyway so why risk losing...

DST's or FSR's with 5th ports. I have both. The FSR's route a little better.

Cheapest OW Certs Possible, FL, Kids, Ideas?

Late to the party but the question caught my eye. Definitely not the question you should be asking. As with everything else, you get what you pay for. Just my 2 cents worth.

BP/W for a totally newbie diver?

No problem. Completed my cert on a jacket and then dove BP/W after. I had a little help from the vendor who let me try a set on a pool. Never wore anything else after that save fro my SM rig.

Look at the sensor data sheets. Most have internal compensation circuits for temperature.

DIY yoke to DIN conversion w/o yoke nut socket - Apeks

I just remembered a trick for removing those thin or low profile nuts or parts with thin wrench flats. You can grind down the face of the appropriate sized socket flat to produce more engagement. I remember making one but I am not sure if it was for a yoke nut. Migrated all my regs to DIN now so...

DIY yoke to DIN conversion w/o yoke nut socket - Apeks

A 3/4"/19 mm closed spanner fits in there just fine. The special Scubatools shallow socket and thin extension just makes it easier to torque it properly without the use of a crow's foot and doing the calculation.

200 mV is too high for an O2 cell.

    DIY Nitrox Analyzer (Arduino based)

I found a library on GitHub. It looks like the parameters are different and it uses the SPI instead of the I2C bus. Sampling is also different. You will have to re-write the code and change the wiring connections for that.

    DIY Nitrox Analyzer (Arduino based)

Do you have a multimeter? Can you check the cell? What library does the ADS1118 use? There are specific configurations peculiar to what you are trying to do. The ADC does not output a voltage but "talks" to the MCU via the I2C bus. You can also feed the ADC a "dummy" voltage using a pot as a...

Deep Stops Webinar by Mark Powell (Deco for Divers Author)

There is an unpublished small study that seems to marginally favor 50/75 but this is just preliminary.

When to reassess regulator choices? A question to tech divers..

All Apeks, mostly ATX/XTX 50's. Simplifies servicing. Parts are also cross-compatible even between generations so you can "cannibalize" for parts.
