    Discover scuba without instructor

That is the thing i’m Wondering, why would they be able to sue you? If tomorrow you take a friend with you to ride a bicycle, he crashes and gets hurt. They can’t sue you unless you did something wrong?

    Discover scuba without instructor

Of course it isn’t a good strategy. But I can imagine that there are people with 1000 of dives that can handle the problems just as fine as a instructor would?

    Discover scuba without instructor

If you want to try a sport you can most of the time try it with friends or family, for some reason most people see diving different. I did make my first laps on the track with a 600cc bike without having a drivers license. It was all fine and nothing unusual about it. So if a friend wants to...

    Looking for Dry Gloves

I use the handle of my halcyon explorer knife, it fits wonderfully between the rings. You can also keep something else in your car to help you remove them.

    Mares horizon: just add water?

I did see it at Boot today, didn’t spend much time at it but it did look cheap and fragile. There where many people that did show intrest in the Horizon but i doubt we will see it a lot at the waterside.

    My journey into tech

Maybe a stupid question but i suck at imperial units. 20 feet is the 6m stop? Why don’t you switch to 100% at that point, it gives a ppo2 of 1.6?

    PERDIX or PERDIX AI?

Sorry English is my 3th language, it’s far from perfect. Touch and go dive? Like go to 130 feet and after a minute ascent slowly.

    PERDIX or PERDIX AI?

The TS for example told us that almost all his dives are deco dives. Dives below 100feet can be rec dives as well, unless it’s a bounce dive it doesn’t hurt to have a plan. I see where you are going with this, even without AI people get in the water and see where the current takes them.

    PERDIX or PERDIX AI?

It depends how you read it. Of course progress is great, most new technology’s are great and make our lives easier and safer. I also believe that many people stop thinking about certain things due to those technology’s. For example: the computer tells me how much time I have left, why bother to...

    PERDIX or PERDIX AI?

First of all i understand what you are saying. But there is a nice quote for this. Make something idiot-proof, and they will build a better idiot. People will stop with thinking for them self and slowly we turn in to zombies who can only function with the help of computers and all kind of apps.

dive stick or tickle stick or reef stick

Please make a video if you try it :) On tropical locations some divers use those sticks to make up for lack in skills, they give the stick a bad name.

Percentage of divers who go beyond openwater?

It depends on a lot of personal choices. but If you start from scratch, 10K is gone before you realise. And after that it really starts, scooter, ccr, ...

So why did you do it?

My gf wanted a hobby that we could do together. Before that i was riding my bike on track days and low budget amateur races. She came up with diving and at that time i thought it was a good idea. Sell my bikes get some diving gear. Has to be cheap right? Damn how was i wrong :)

Overshooting NDL and mandatory deco stops

If you exceed the ndl by 2 minutes and then slowly ascend, its most likely you have no deco time left once arriving at 3 meter. Not saying you should do deco dives without proper knowledge but its not like something strange happens from the moment you get past the ndl.
