    Question about which manufactures

I have to agree with RJP...most any dive gear will work as long as you are comfortable with it. I dive primarily Oceanic stuff and it works for me!

    LiquidSkin or Not

I am another supporter... I tried a few others on and then fell in love with the liquidskin! I would only buy another mask for something very low volume as a back up to carry. As far as the black vs grey skirts I am not sure, but the mask is awesome!

    "Cold" Water Diving

I did some 50F dives in the bare artic wetsuit... Bought a drysuit and have gone down to 39F so far! Wasn't too bad at 93ft for about a half hour.

    What bc to choose...

I dive the Oceanic Excursion and love it! Fits real well and is extremely comfortable. The positioning in the water is very nice. I have used it in 30 degree water to the warm Caribbean waters, no problem diving in either environment. Though has been mentioned before, if you think you might...

What hoseless, air integrated wrist mount computer do you use?

Sorry I forgot to add that is you dive with a buddy using another Oceanic air integrated, wireless computer, the buddy check feature is pretty cool! It allows you to check your buddy's pressure without having to say anything... Just letting you know!

What hoseless, air integrated wrist mount computer do you use?

I also dive the Oceanic VT3 and think it works pretty well. Basic, easy to read screen, but it is only used as a dive computer and nothing else. I have also used an Oceanic Atom, they now make the Atom 2, which is the watch style you are looking for. The screen was personally too small and...

Which 3mm Wetsuit Would You Choose?

AGREED! I went to try on 3mm suits, a Henderson, ScubaPro, and Neilpryde (they do not even make dive specific suits anymore, although the suit I was looking at was). Bought the Neilpryde and could not be happier. Whatever fits best, is the best suit for you! Try a few on and then make a...

    Drysuit fit question

Thanks for the thread and the replies. I too purchased a second hand neoprene drysuit and was wondering about fit. I am more comfortable now, but I'll let you when I dive it in 5 days...

    Opinions on this gear setup?

I have to agree with a few others on here.... FDX10/Delta 4 is a great way to go! I love it its ease of breathing, especially in cold water. Good luck with your choice!

    Setup for beginner...

Just for a differing viewpoint, I dive in central PA and am also a college student. I understand the concern to save money on equipment, but I bought Oceanic gear which I thought fit me the best. Spent a little extra money, but am very comfortable and would easily buy the same equipment again...

    Scuba Budget?

Help out at your LDS with certification dives or whatever they might need a little help with... They might just give you some free air or something. It may not be much, but it is something and it adds up!

    Custom Mouthpieces

Hey everyone... I bought a custom mouth piece and will never dive without one again! I feel much more comfortable and in control. That being said make sure your buddy knows your equipment!!! This is because custom mouthpieces may prevent your buddy from breathing off your primary (which...

    DUI CF200X Question

Dub I agree, I tried the suit on and thought it felt great and will be my first drysuit purchase as well. As most of my diving is local I am looking to getting it into the water!

    New Member Questions and greetings!

Ha I cannot help help either except to say that going to NAUI Worldwide :: Information for Serious Divers or PADI. The Way The World Learns to Dive would be a good way to start. They are two of the bigger names in SCUBA and both websites will give you basic information and will allow you to...

Tech diving, equipment, awareness and too much too soon

I cannot agree my, a LDS near me informs newly certified divers that the best thing the can do to improve skill is to take an AOW class. I did and was not ready! Just after my OW checkout dives, my buoyancy was all over the place! I since dropped the thought of plowing through every course...

    7mm 20lb buoyant?

I dive the bare artic suit, size 2x, and would agree amajamar, i think my added 20lbs, but again that was most like a result of the suit size. Somewhere from 16-20 is not a bad bet though...
