Other then the look and location of the bladders whats the difference? I tend to see more tech divers with bp/w and more reg divers with bc. Theres tomany choices in diving.

Thanks for the in depth info. As far as giving up a reg, my padi instructor also used an air II but taught it doesnt matter what you give up aslong as you both make it to the surface breathing.

I have heard of divers using a 7ft hose instead of the standerd reg hose. What is the purpose and is it recommended?

I am about to invest in one of the more expensive scuba purchases. What do the experienced divers recommed. Should I get my reg or my bc first?
