I'm thinking of getting a couple lights ($400-$500 each) in this range and try to shoot some video with my M4/3 camera. Can I please get some suggestions or tips on selection? The ability to swap batteries in my strobes after a dive or 2 has been a benefit, but I only see a couple light mfg's...

I see that 1 of the Komodo boats (Sea Safari) does a route to Sumba. 'Wondering if anyone can comment on the diving, etc. there.

What airport do you fly in/out of for this trip?

Komodo is worth a serious look. I've only done a handful of L-A's, but it (Komodo Dancer) is the only one I've had a strong desire to repeat (so I did!). Also, if you're into macro, Anilao is "like a land-based live-aboard". 4 dives/day, and not much else to do... Awesome diving, though!

I don't see any SE Asia stops in your history. Spend another couple days on the trip, and I think you would find yourself feeling similarly spoiled like after your Fiji trip. In my experience, it is THAT good. *Bali safari to 2-3 locations. *Philippines

Based on your past destinations/experience, what you're looking for, and your miles bank- you should really try Asia, or Fiji. Either would be a great new experience. That's enough miles for 2 round trip, first/bus class tickets on Cathay Pacific to Bali (DPS). Lot's of great diving+ to do...

Cathay Pacific SFO-HKG-MNL is a great choice. EVA Premium economy was not too bad- but not even close to CX bus. or first (quality AND cost- but I use miles...). Have fun, I really enjoyed the 2 BW/Anilao trips I did!
