My Journey into UTD Ratio Deco

An algorithm is by definition is a set of rules that provide you with an ascent profile as well. Again, compare a profile generated from Buhlmann GFs and one UTD RD 2.0 suggest; there is no practical difference. UTD RD 2.0 adds value because it uses bubble models to treat fast tissues and...

My Journey into UTD Ratio Deco

Can it tell you how long you can stay down for if you change from 60' to 80'? If you change from 60' to 80', and then stay there for 10 minutes, can it tell you how long you can stay down for if you come back up again to 60', before executing any portion of what I just mentioned? This isn't...

My Journey into UTD Ratio Deco

I do not think nor have I ever suggested that. I'm illustrating if you perform exactly what the computer is telling you to do, it might not be the best ascent strategy based on a variety of factors that the computer does not know about. If you're a smart enough diver you can probably figure...

My Journey into UTD Ratio Deco

@Michael Guerrero is this the profile you are referring to in post #15? This is hardly a technical profile and is considered "min-deco" by GUE and UTD. You'll clear any Buhlmann GF-based computer set with common GFs using this ascent strategy. How is this decompression schedule "bad" as you...

My Journey into UTD Ratio Deco

If you're referring to Decompression from He-N2-O2 (trimix) bounce dives is not more efficient than from He-O2 (heliox) bounce dives., the study does not claim that Helium and Nitrogen should be treated the same, but that Helium should be treated no worse than Nitrogen, hence all the the noise...

cootwo O2 sensor replacement and CO calibration

@DiveNav - I never received a PM back on ScubaBoard, nor an email, and no reply here. Could you please respond to my inquiry in post #4?

cootwo O2 sensor replacement and CO calibration

Calibration gas requires some sort of low-flow regulator doesn't it?

cootwo O2 sensor replacement and CO calibration

I don't think the "breathing into it" method for calibration will work because the CO part of the screen is telling me it needs calibration and won't report any number. My local FD is FDNY, and all of their fills occur on Riker's Island, which is home to a large jail facility. Unless I plan on...

cootwo O2 sensor replacement and CO calibration

Hello, My cootwo is telling me I need to replace the sensor and perform a CO calibration. I sent an email regarding this to customer.service@divenav.com 3 days ago but haven't received a response. Can I perform the CO calibration myself somehow? Where do I get replacement sensors? Are there...

    UTD Ratio deco discussion

Sorry again for stepping away from the thread, I was out diving for the past 4 days. Of course, I never said there was. What I did say was that it was never "debunked." If it was never "bunked," then there could never be any science that "debunked" it right? Therefore, saying it's been...

    UTD Ratio deco discussion

Do you expect everyone who dives Buhlmann GFs to be able to compute m-values and fractions of them? I would imagine not. It's more the idea and reasoning behind it that's important.

    UTD Ratio deco discussion

I will let @Kevrumbo do that, he's more of the math expert. Or @rossh but I think someone banned him from the thread.

    UTD Ratio deco discussion

Right, but it's the Buhlmann GF model that allows you change your first stop depth. It's bubble theory that's controlling the UTD 66% stop, not "AG."
