Funny- seems like every time I start wondering about something, I find a thread about it here! I've been thinking about adding a pony of some kind to my kit, too. I'm not interested in the spare air, but 30 cf w/ separate reg and pressure gauge does sound appealing.......
The vis was not too bad, actually; for Puget sound in the summer, at any rate. 5-10 feet near the surface, but below 30-40', we probably had 20' or better a few times. It was a lot of fun!
Mine, too. I'll wait for a cheap, used copy in paperback, but I don't want to give the author any more money than I have to. This is beyond sour grapes.
That's good to hear. I'm amazed every time the law comes down on the side of common sense and personal responsibilty; and I guess this is one of those. Thanks for enlightening us.
Dang, were you there? I met so many people this weekend, I got confused, what with internet handles and real names....sorry I missed you, too. Did you get any dives in?
Sigh. You Californians with you bright COLORS just don't understand how many shades of grey a Puget Sound diver is capable of differentiating! YES, they make lots of bright, obnoxious COLORS!

See? :14:
Hey! Don't try and blame ME for your personal shortcomings! ;) Mrs. Nailer says I'm quite fetching in my new duds, she just doesn't want me wearing it to any weddings or parties!
Ah, but it's much BETTER than a sack! I tried the homemade "hefty sack and duct tape" drysuit before I plunked down the $ on this bad boy, and, believe you me, this one is better!
Is what I am in this bad boy! Did my first 2 dives in it yesterday. Aside from the stunning appearance, it's very well made. I'm quite happy with it, and I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend USIA to anyone in the market for a new drysuit.
I buddied up with a pier pilling at Mukilteo for a while this afternoon during my safety stop. After a couple minutes, I started wondering why he wasn't moving; then I noticed that he was much taller than I remembered.....
Male, 5'10" 220 lbs SAC= .55 on average. I guess I'm doing pretty good- I was 1.1-1.3 at first- I've gotten a lot more relaxed in the last 10 dives or so.
Aargh- I have an appointment at 6:30 PM I can't get out of- should take an hour to an hour and a half- I'll try to come down and meet you guys after dinner, if you're still there- have fun, and somebody better order the posole- it's amazing.
