I feel your pain. We were in the water right after Bob and Dsteding, and we ALWAYS go straight to the I-beams....except last night. We had a guy right out of OW class with us, and didn't want to take him that deep, so we went over by the honey bear instead.

For me, diving is the goal right now! Which is pretty cool- as long as I get in and go under, I have achieved my goal. Ultimately, I want to go tech, but I'm not ready yet, so I'm just concentrating on learning the basics like trim and buoyancy, and having a lot of fun doing it, I might add.

You may be right about that. Nobody is questioning the fact that Mr. Gentile is a great diver. That doesn't give him a get out of jail free card for being a jerk, however. And if what I've gleaned of his charater holds true, then typical Gary Gentile is sour grapes.

Yeah.....4 times a year? I wouldn't buy one at all. Just use the tables, or rent one.

Funny.....Dive manager works OK on my rig, and I'm no genius w/ PCs. It is a clunky piece of software, and should do lots more, and work better than it does, but it has worked for the 30+ dives I have logged on mine.

OW and AOW completed a few months back, here- they don't cover it there. I scoured the texts one night- it ain't there, period. My buddy just finished PADI DM, and he says they cover it there. I got angry about this at first, then I decided to simply learn the stuff I was interested in myself...

Anybody hit Cove 2 today? Oh, my. I don't even know how to describe it. Let's just say that from the bottom of the orange and white buoy, in 55 fsw.......I could see the buoy on the surface. Down below, there was 30' of so of vis at 1PM. Had 2 great dives there this afternoon!
