Thanks for the info and the pictures Scubaman. I generally like the boat dives better also. I've done a lot of boat dives in Oahu. I'll check out those spots when I get there! Thanks Again!!
I love diving in Hawaii. I am also going to Kauai in Nov. I heard that the shore dives are just as good as the boat dives. Any truth to this? Also where are the best shore dive spots? What are the best boat dive spots?
ATT does work there but you are going to pay a lot per minute, even if you get the international plan. I use Skype on my laptop when I travel overseas. It's $3 a month or you can pay as you go. Of course you need to find an internet connection to use it.
Loch Low Minn quarry in Athens Tn is about 3 hours from Atlanta, only open on weekends unless you make an appointment for during the week. Not worth the dive though.
The logs that have been writen over in my Vyper and can't downlaod anymore I have entered manually. Good thing I also keep a paper log book. You don't get the cool graphs on the dive manager but at least you still have an electronic log on your home computer.
I dive with a 7mm in the local quarry, the botom being about 60 degrees and the top around 75(summer time temps). I am very comfortable in mine. If I know I am not doing a deep dive I leave my hood and gloves off.
