I saw someone take a piece of plastic rain gutter and put a couple slots in it for mounting a dive watch computer on it. Looked like it worked well for him. Might be a thought. Good luck.
We're hoping so. Not bad for a couple of wanna bees from Central Oregon. We've been working on this for awhile, but as of late we've finally got somewhere. As you know, it all takes $$$$$ and $$$$ flow is not as accessable as if it were coming out of that compressor. Hopefully by the end of the...
Here are some other pic's, we're trying too do it right. We will be polishing up the loose ends as time allows. Hopefully we can keep it there and not blow anything up in the meantime. Thanks Jimmer for all the help! I will keep in touch.
Thanks Dannobee, but I don't think I'm quite that OLD SCHOOL.:rofl3: But I guess it takes sifting through the relics too get what you are looking for. I also remember seeing that picture. Was that you on one end of that metal bar?:rofl3: Apparently asking for valid info from some is...
So, I guess a smaller hydraulic jack will be the drive cylinder, and will keep researching the purticulars as far as how too plumb them together. I know I will need a few check valves and trying too keep all the plumbing too a minimum. I am reading the Oxy hacker first and will be reading the...
Vplanner here, and my cobra lets me know where I stand for recreational diving, as long as I remember too set the nitrox too the right mix. But rarely do I push my limits, it's not worth the risk. Not bashing, but that is why I like the TDI/SDI philosphy of "use a computer" and not...
Not exactly sure, That was part of the reason for posting here on scuba board. (for the broad horizons that are available here) Just looking for some input as far as some of what others have done or tried, what worked or didn't. I'm still in the research end of the building my mixing station...
I'm a general contractor that builds houses and have many lp compressors and not the cheap ones from sears.:no That is not a problem. As far as killing a tank, I mean a couple 80% 40cf 3000psi deco bottles will drop a bulk tank in a hurry. Blending a little on the old fashioned way, without a He...
Exactly, not sure how to plumb it though. Doing more research. Trying too figure out the best method and parts before I start and get half way and findout it was all a BIG MISTAKE!!
Was thinking O2, but after doing some research, they say don't build an O2 booster for risk of explosions. So, was thinking that Argon and Helium would be the gasses boosted. I was thinking of running it with a lp compressor. (would that be best?) As far as O2 goes I can partial pressure my deco...
I can't believe no one has any info on a booster cylinder selection? With all the knowledge floating neutrally around here, there's got too be someone with some input or where too look.
Joe
Yes plastic and silicone off gas for a long time. It seems that manufacturers send the masks right out after making them, some LDS's have them in stock for awhile which seems too help in the off gassing proccess, so when you get a mask that has sat around for awhile it may have less issues. The...
So, after starting into "improvised and low cost hp gas boosters" it seems that the cherry picker cylinder I was thinking of using is not suitable for a booster. Seems I'll have to look for a off an old lift or something? Any suggestions? Or maybe even hints on what too look for. Pictures of...
Not sure I could have that any better myself!!!
Just finished my TDI/SDI Extended range trimix earlier this month, and it sure is nice to know that guy on your side has just as much interest in you as "YOU DO!!!" But at 200'+ I'd only dive with a few.
Just finished the Extended range last week, had a great couple of dives. First time to 200' well 201' by my Explorer.(206') if the depth was relative to the deco stop depths of my instructor and other dive mate. When my computer said 80' theirs said 85' and so on. So when my computer said 201'...
He's trippin' $2000.00 for that old rig.:no We paid $5400.00 for this, delivered from Boulder, Co. to Central, Ore. You tell me? Now granted you're not gonna fill tanks at the dive site with this, but hey, buy more tanks!!:rofl3:
My suggestion would be, take a blending class. It would do you good, and knowledge in blending as well as other things makes things safe. Just like in diving, knowledge is key.
We (My buddy and I) picked an Ingresol Rand 17cfm 3 phases for 4k and converted it to single phase for another $1500.00 and with shipping, it all came too about 7k. But does it rock? OH YEAH!!! The first time we fired it up though, we popped an isolater on the pole outside the shop. Since the...
