We can get them here at pretty much any Safety Supply store. We use the G17K (formerly 173) heavyweight, and only order the XXL as it gives good room for glove liners. You can always try the website marigoldindustrial.com and they can most likely point you to a dealer. If you want specs on the...
For most calls we use XXL Marigolds with our Vikings. They are big enough to include a good liner for warmth. They are also inexpensive so no biggie if they get trashed on an operation. For serious contaminated water, we go with the full Viking Glove
~sigh~ I miss those Maritime winters...., but only a bit.
Nice picture.., in this case the picture is not worth a thousand words but only two - "Testicular Migration"
Outstanding kid. I showed this to my diving son who now thinks I am the second coolest dad out there :-(
He built his own rebreather and he only came third in the science fair?? I hope we wasn't beat by the good ol' baking soda volcano!!!
I'm not familiar with the Enviro personally, but what you are proposing would work. You could use the Enviro's for water deemed 'mildly contaminated' and save the Hazmats if it is more serious. That is similar to what we do, only on a larger (federally funded) scale where we use Viking Pros...
Make one up, that way it will be tailored for your teams needs. It is a big undertaking so be sure to get a couple people involved. Look at each part of your team make-up and determine what areas you want covered off in the training. PSD covers such a wide range of skills you'll never...
If you in the water with a body, it should be decontaminated. You wouldn't handle a day old body in the woods without rubber gloves on then eat without washing your hands would you?? ;^*
They are like the Marigolds, only $34 a pair where the Mairigold are $30 for like 15 pairs. You get a hole, throw it out and get another glove from the bag.
My $0.02 worth.
If you want the industry standard for working divers, go with Viking if you can afford it. Get the contaminated water valves
I cannot comment on the DUI as I have never worked in one. I have worked with several dive teams I hold in very high regard who use them and love...
What are you looking for? Scenarios for divers? Teams? Supervisors?
We have different scenarios that we put into place depending on the training. We have rescue scenarios implemented by the Overall Supervisor and TO to test a teams readiness for rescue, we have scenarios to test a...
The HD glove with locking ring system comes with a glove liner. Virtually all of our guys with the Whites system have gone away from the locking gloves and gone back to good old Marigolds.
Try posting under the Whites thread in the equip section, I know they check that regularly. Mention there that you are looking regarding PSD and they'll probably get buddy (I forget his name) who looks after the PSD/Military section to track you down.
What kind of questions, I'm not a dealer...
I noticed on your link that it says it is a dry workshop.
Without meaning to sound like a Smart-A_ _ , do you mean dry as in "we'll put you in a dry suit and ffm before you get in the water" or dry as in "There is no water, we are just going to do walk throughs on dry land with guys on a line...
I know that Riverside County Dive Team was trying to work towards a FEMA rating last year. I don't know if they got it, but they may be able to provide you with some info
