    2010 Fitness Exercise Challenge!!

Did a 3 mile hike at John Bryan State Park along the river on the Gorge Trails. It was a great way to unwind after the 8 hour class today. I love Daylight Savings Time!

How many cave divers are here?

Sounds like you have pretty good arm flexibility and great embouchure too the way you pat yourself on the back and toot your own horn... LOL :D:D

    2010 Fitness Exercise Challenge!!

My exercise for the past several days has been light rowing and packing/carrying boxes and other stuff off to the storage unit... nothing "official" to report though.

    Staging practices

Good point Trace. I made a big mistake mountain biking last Fall and was fortunate enough to limp away without a broken neck or back. I learned valuable lessons from that and ride accordingly now. If I'd have made a mistake of that magnitude in a cave or inside a wreck, I'd likely not have...

    2010 Fitness Exercise Challenge!!

I put off Week 2 Day 4 of the KB challenge last night. I'd done a lot of packing and hauling of boxes of books and magazines from the basement and 2nd floor to the garage. The joys of prepping for real estate sales. Glutes and hammies got some good squat work though!

    2010 GLWC Merchandise

That's a pretty cool logo on the back! I haven't had the pleasure of participating in GLWC activities, but the logo sure makes the apparel look worthwhile!

    leashes.

That's a very nice way of saying they can F- you up! (....although not entirely related to this discussion, IMHO they can work nicely for O2 drops for cave diving.)

    2010 Fitness Exercise Challenge!!

An insightful comment from Coach Izzy at Next Step Conditioning Systems regarding fitness gains: How long will the results last? Unfortunately most people tend to think of results in linear terms, that is, they feel they can progressively climb to a level, and then keep doing the same work to...

How do you dive the wrecks in great lakes?

Ah yes... another good reason to do the St Lawrence River... it siphons off the top warm layer of Lake Ontario, so there is no thermocline and temps are pretty consistent top to bottom... very sweet!!

How do you dive the wrecks in great lakes?

Brockville and Rockport on the Canadian side of the St Lawrence river is a great place to dive. I think Island Divers is based out of Rockport. In between Erie, PA and Buffalo, NY is a great operator on Lake Erie named Osprey Dive Charter. There's really no one place to get the BEST of what...
