    Going deep?

There will always be deeper water than we are "certified" or ready to dive..... but will we always have the common sense to know how deep we're really ready for?

    I was wrong...

Pushed me more into bicycling and other activities close to home....

    I was wrong...

Less resistance (or grief) that way... and more focus on the fun of doing the dives with friends.

    I was wrong...

Problem is.... after a while they all tend to read the same.... it's tough to find that one iota of difference between classes and reports that might help someone else. Rather, I think it tends to take someone you know or respect to take the class and then listen to what they experienced. But...

I had a cheat meal yesterday consisting of a double cheeseburger and fries... .but I couldn't bring myself to eat the bread... and yes... I did eat the potatoes, but that doesn't occur often.

    2010 Fitness Exercise Challenge!!

I've been consistently exercising again (for the past couple of months) after our move interrupted my habits. I've not been posting here as much, but keep my blog and Zendiving up to date with my activities.

    2010 Fitness Exercise Challenge!!

Nice job on the weight loss. If you want to seriously impact your BP and Tri numbers, considering eliminating or drastically reducing your intake of high-glycemic foods and sugars. I did and the transformation took less than six weeks. Before I had High BP, I was 120/80. When my High BP...

Why is it so hard to find someone to dive with.

I used to just show up at White Star or Gilboa and spot a couple of divers or a group and ask if I could tag along. Then there was Diverlink, Scubaboard, or Zendiving... but you have to put out the effort to socialize, ask questions, get acquainted and before you know it, you can find someone...

Sort of offtopic : Garmin GPS's now have Cayman maps

You need a map on Grand Cayman? :) I only spent 3 weeks total there, but it was kinda fun to just drive around and explore a bit.

    Exercise bike recommendation? <$1,000 ideally.

I don't think he was looking for a road bike, but rather a recumbent bike for his exercise room.... and if he hasn't found one since January, he probably isn't in the mood anymore. ;)

    2010 Fitness Exercise Challenge!!

The project goes slow... we decided to take the marathon approach rather than the sprint approach.... had started to burn ourselves out and get a bit cranky with each other. So now we're balancing other activities better. Managed to hike 4 miles the other day in our Vibram's Five Fingers...

Info about Natural Springs in Ohio

I was wondering about East Fork, but haven't had a chance to inquire since moving here (from Mason) in May '10. The water looks muddy (similar to Caesar Creek) since there is so much dirt from being a man-made lake. White Star is about 3.5 to 4 hours from us. I used to live 15 minutes from...

    Called my first dive...

Yeh... I used to live in Fremont, OH... so I know you know how far that can be to get to Sanilac or Harbor Beach. I never dove the river... that would have been a nice consolation option.
