Are resorts on Bonaire even open? Is Bonaire accepting visitors from countries with significant infection rates? Do you really want to expose yourself to an airliner among a bunch of people?

Bonaire -- Spare Tire Stolen From Truck at Something Special

For less than $150 bucks you could probably find a "replacement" spare. Especially from one of the brand X rental companies or a garage. Maybe even an unmounted tire from the side of the road. You know, just enough tire showing that it looks like the spare is there? Went with a low ball car...

    Disinfecting second stages.

I agree with HKGuns, never let your reg touch a communal rinse tank. I just rinse my reg with a bit of bottled water.

    Diving with a cochlear implant.

tna..., There is search box for ScubaBoard as well. Not to be advertising stuff, I do use a Pro-Ear mask and Doc's Pro Plugs while diving. My problem is a delicate tympanoplasty. I have a Cochlear BAHA for my right ear.

    Diving with a cochlear implant.

Here's a previous thread about CI's. The second page is where the better discussion occurs. I have met one diver who has a CI, but just in passing on a boat. Diving with a Cochlear Implant?

Apparent sudden death of TG 5 with solution (fixed)

Tarponchik, You might try getting a new cable. Or try putting a drop of electrical contact cleaner on the cable plug, then plug and unplug the cable into the camera socket. There might be some surface corrosion on the connection.

    Olympus PT-059 cold shoe lighting

Thomas, If you haven't already made your hotshoe purchase, here are a couple of examples of a DIY strobe tray/arm I made using 1.25" dia, polypropylene (PP) plastic drain pipes and stock aluminum from the hardware store. I embedded the hinge tabs in epoxy and used HDPE disks with stainless...

    everybody ok?

The canals cleared because the boat traffic has stopped. I think there is a high component of sewerage in those canals. Funny thing, some idiots threw a sleeper couch in a pond near my house. I hauled the frame out, but couldn't get the whole inner spring mattress out at the same time, the...

TG-5, Seafrog housing and AOI UAL-05

A 52mm ring should fit a 52mm lens. That said, check out the return policy for the lens and the housing. You may want to check with your local dive shop or even around here to see if anyone close by has a similar set up, or just a lens. It's likely that you would have better luck finding...

Maui dive op & site suggestions for middle of March

Thank you everyone who wrote up ideas and observations about diving Maui. My timing was impeccable. Flew out last Thursday, March 12, then returned March 16th due to the threat of getting stranded in Hawaii should air transport get shutdown. It is going to be a particularly rough year for...

Just bought a semi dry looking for advice on weights

Suit material varies. Cheaper older suits seemed to be more floaty. The only direct experience I had was my old Aqualung 7mm AquaFlex and my Scubapro Everflex 7mm/5mm. I required nearly 10 pounds more with the Aqualung suit.

    Kayak diving

What is the carrying capacity? Add your weight and your equipment weight. Now which type of water are you going to use this in? With dive gear properly distributed you are likely going to be paddling a semi submersible vessel. I think it will be too small.

    Mask for pressure equalizing problems

I have used Pro Ear masks for over 250 dives. I have eardrum issues, so keeping my right ear dry is necessary. The earcup equalization tubes are attached through the mask skirt with a threaded fitment and a nut. You can transfer them to a mask of your choice. I used a small hole punch to make...
