Question Eon Core AI v Peregrine TX

It may be worth checking as to whether the Suunto Dive Manager software is needed to update the Eon or change any configurations. The Suunto DM software has been problematic for many. I could never get it to work on my iMac. It was part of the reason I passed on the Core and went with Shearwater.

Is the “Carry On Crackdown” real?

I haven’t seen any passengers bags scrutinized or rejected. I do see gate agents asking if passengers would like to gate check their bag (free). They should crack down on the clearly obvious oversize bags (yah you adventure guy with the 80L Mt Everest expedition bag) and the number of bags...

    6mb?

We were there last October. There are places where there is a 3-4 foot drop off from the bottom step of the property beach stairs to the sand where there used to be 50 feet or so of sand to water’s edge.

    New computer AI dilemma

I’d suggest to buy the Shearwater Peregrine Tx, a transmitter a bit later if need be. Buy once, cry once. It could be the last computer you’ll ever need for rec diving. Really you can’t go wrong-they are superb for battery life, reliability, support, simplicity, visibility, intuitiveness...

    Dive Computer advice please

Use a bungee mount? Remove the bungee and use some cave line or paracord with a bolt snap and clip off to D ring on your BCD.

I agree. The graphics are very busy, “artsy” and not intuitive.

My Wife is finally giving Scuba a try - what can I do to help her succeed?

I hope it works out for you both. My wife enjoys snorkelling, tried SNUBA once and liked it but has no desire to dive…😟

My dive computer is too conservative, what can I do ?

If it is already on P0, that is as “liberal” it can be. All you can do is make it more conservstive.

Grand Cayman - Looking for small group/boutique dive operator.

Cayman University Divers. I’ve only ever had 3 other divers on board. One time it was only me (although this was low season, Sept/Oct). Brad Nelson, owner, decades of experience, heck of a nice guy.
