What were dive times like? Could you and your buddy stay according to your NDL and gas remaining or was it entire group ascend once a diver in the group indicated time to ascend?
Where is a good area of the island or good hotel/resort to stay for a non diver? Spouse loves walking long beaches (but there does not seem to be one as on GC) or strolling nice commercial areas (such as Camana bay, GC).

I’ve been with Living the Dream divers in GC many times. They require all of your dive days to be booked in advance for boat/diver planning but I’ve never paid up front. My buddy once acquired a cold and could not dive, had to scrub a few days… no problem. Full payment after your last dive...
Perhaps try thinner lycra socks. Scubapro makes the GO travel fin, designed to fit in carry-on luggage. Scubapro also makes a modular fin that breaks down into components. Maybe take your carry-on to the LDS and check on a few brands?
