YES!... Erm... NO!... Erm... htf can we know?
Why not ask in the manufacturers forum and get first hand information? Any other information won't be more than rumours anyway...
With this the Perdix looks to me like something from a gumball machine rather than an expensive piece of high tech dive equipment... Protection well and good but I'd never go that far and say it looks good with this on :vomit:
Thanks for the tips so far!
It was a slotted screw with a dent in the slot (most likely my bad not being careful enough with the screwdriver:facepalm::dork2:).
Ironical enough, I considered the storage pack to be some extra protection for my suit... Will replace the screw with a new one and...
Hi there,
the other day I noticed a pinhole in my pretty new trilam-suit.
I figured it must have been one of the screws the storage pack is attached to the backplate with, that had worked its way through.
Actually three options come to my mind to prevent this in the future:
No storage pack...
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if there are already some first-hand experiences with Heinrichs Weikamps' OSTC TR?
At a lower price than the Perdix AI incl. transmitter (at least in Europe) it's definitely an option. On the downside they are not Open Source anymore and the transmitter seems...
Unless there was an SMB deployed and regarding the location of the accident marked in the report, this might be difficult to judge. It seems to have happened in open water and depending on the swell spotting a diver w/o SMB can be very difficult if not near impossible.
This (being hit by a...
I just started diving with stages and bought a brandnew al40 manufactured by Polaris.
The other day I practiced depositing it on a platform (fresh water) and noticed it was standing upright (bottom up). Is this the expected behaviour at 2,600 psi/180 bar (EAN40)? I always thought it would do...
Wouldn't make me wonder too much if this tube/snail construction most SPGs incorporate wears out over time and becomes more and more inaccurate. I tend to trust the piezo sensor in my wireless transmitter a little more :)
Since it has a quite small and simple menu this is not a major problem with the Puck Pro at least.
Sure, depends a bit on your diving habits but the only thing the wife changes is salt/fresh water and setting the clock for daylight saving. Very rarely the altitude profile. Log is transferred to...
The wife is happy with it since roughly 200 dives including a couple of deco dives in both salt and fresh water.
Reasonable price, easy to read/understand, not too conservative (my Suunto in direct comparison is worse, especially when it comes to YoYo-dives and/or short surface intervalls)...
Don't know his prices but at least here in Europe there's a significant difference between the Perdix AI (little short of 1,500 USD incl. transmitter) and a G2 (1,150 USD incl. transmitter w/o HR belt)...
Edit: And if you are an instructor, you can get the G2 in the above mentioned config over...
Sorry, no answer to your question, but it made me think of something:
Isn't deliberately going for an algorithm with less tissue compartments just because it gives you better NDLs and shorter deco times kind of an ostrich approach?
My thoughts are, that just because the computer doesn't take...
Very true, such a horrible imagination to have to go through this
You are absolutely right. Not being involved in that kind of diving made me forget about the effort it would take to do that, sorry. More than seven hours of decompression are a clear language.
Is 'imploding' or flooding a...
