    Full face masks / headaches

I would agree with you it sounds like CO2. Do the headaches occur using both masks? Are the oral nasal valves in good condition and properly installed? Have you noticed any of the divers skip breathing / slow breathing / conserving air rates during training? Your compressor is...

Dizziness after a weekend of Dives

A diving injury can cause cell death by denying an area of tissues circulation (oxygen) If you ever suspect there is any possibility that a symptom is related to a diving injury rapid treatment is the best policy, delays in treatment severely decrease the effectiveness of hyperbaric therapy...

It is going to depend, you will need to get a complete dive physical and depending on your age either annual or bi-annual physicals while your working. Among other things this includes a chect x-ray to aid the DMO in making a determination, if there is no visible scar tissue and you are not...

    Dcs 101

The bubbles are re-absorbed by the body within the first 24 hours normally. Recompression therapy works best when conducted as soon as possible after an injury, if the nitrogen is still present and causing problems it will be most effective since it will speed elimination of the bubbles...

    Deaf Ears after Diving

It sound like it could be fluid in your middle ear, have you ever had any pressure or pain even though you were clearing? It is possible that you have a physiological problem that makes transfer of air through the eustacian tube more difficult. Have you ever spoken with an ENT about the...

    Police Diver Drowns

As I have already stated I am sorry to see the death of a young man especially one who choose to serve his community, but I am glad to see the employer being held accountable for an unsafe operation and would expect the same if I was running an unsafe operation.

Was it a monoplace chamber (single compartment for the patient, normally made from acrylic) or were you in the chamber with a tender breathing from either a hood or bibbs mask? Monoplace chambers usually are set up to vent the O2 and supply only air for the required air brakes, when breathing...

    Post Chamber Symptoms?

The only symptoms I have seen post treatment were residual in nature from the orignial acident, often if people delay getting to the chamber the bubbles do thier damage (even if the N2 is eliminated the symptoms remain to some extent due to tissue damage) Other things patients will notice...

Easier way to get my bleepin' Wetsuit on :) ?

I have always used a pair of socks to slide my feet through. You could also try getting a dive skin as mentioned above. You may want to try a looser suit, even if rented and decide if the hassel of fighting a tight suit is worth the extra warmth or not.
