    full face mask leak

Viking makes a neoprene hood with a latex edge for sealing. Also make sure you do not over-tighten your temple straps (this is often the cause of a leaking seal)

    Military Fin Techniques

Rubber is the standard issue (US Diver rockets or Jet fins depending on command) Some guys have tried purchasing the splits on thier own, I did some comparison testing with them using a data logger and they are faster if you modify your kick (smaller / shorter stroke flutter kick) the test...

    Any Navy Divers out there?

Hey Bretagus, Welcome to the board, I second Gary's comment about finishing school first... It is going to depend on whether you decide to join as an officer or enlisted, there has been some restructuring this past year and you may be more limited in your selection of assignment (type of...

    AGA Malfunchion

I am curious of you could post a picture of the nut in question? I am thinking perhaps the retaining nut on the piston assembly but the nut does not seal anything, there is an internal o-ring on the assembly. You may want to give the guys at OTS a ring and see if they could offer an opinion...

    Recompression & O2 Toxicity

The recreational (1.4 ppo2) and scientific (NOAA 1.6 ppo2) for oxygen exposure are conservative levels to decrease the chance of O2 tox because of the reasons listed above (underwater / drowning / ect.) In a chamber O2 tox can occur, but is pretty rare. I have seen more O2 hits at 40 FSW...

    Free Dive after Scuba

Dr Deco who used to post here very often had some great articles on this issue. It would be worth your time to do a search for nucleation sites to find some more information. Basically it is a bad idea, it is not so much the decent or bottom time of the freedive but the rapid and multiple...

    Silicone on seals

They do make some silicone based lubricants and powders, but in my experience it can make it more difficult to get the glue to adhere when you go to replace your seals. I use pure unscented talk on mine, and end up replacing them every two years or so. (used most of the winter for work)...

Actually, the inset for the speaker is in the wrong position (rear of the hat) this is common for some reason in some knock-offs but even if it is not authentic it makes a great display piece!

    Golfball diving job position available

Picking them up by hand is the most efficient method, you would be suprised how many you can get in a day. The holes are shallow so you can stay down for a long time. We would rotate courses and holes each trip trying to allow at least a three month interval to allow balls to accumulate. Most...
