Dear Stefano,
YOU HAVE my full name, address, e-mail, and phone number as well. Why have I never heard from you after the PM I sent you a couple of weeks ago?
Concerning the Limited Edition Regulator: Since you are only producing a limited number of units, is it fair to assume that you...
Agreed, my reg is not beautiful; it's not even "super small." Mine is scratched, dented, used, and probably a bit abused. It's also one of the best performing regs in the world. It's not about being "pretty" or fancy marketing gimmicks.
I also got three overhaul kits in the toolbox. Oops...
It's Finally Here, the day we've all been waiting for!!!!! I just visited the Mares website to take a look!!!!! Uh, well, duh, I'll just keep the junk I got.
I dive the Venture wing and like it just fine. However, it is the only wing I have ever dived, so I might like something else better, who knows. Plenty of lift for me, but I'm dry most of the time.
I did a couple of dui days before I got my suit. I also did the class; I didn't really want to, but it was HIGHLY recommended where I do most of my diving. I thought it was worthwhile, got to practice skills that I might not have learned/practiced on my own.
Not really sure if I know what you're asking but... I usually pay for nitrox when I am going to get some extra bottom time out of it. On the 60' dive, the boat operator is USUALLY going to have you on some kind of profile/time limit and would not allow you to stretch a dive that long (even...
First, no. I don't fool with nitrox on shallow dives. Nitrox really gets handy on dives around 100'. If you have good air consumption or a large tank, it will get you more bottom time; even if you don't, it will be safer. Nitrox gets really, really handy when doing back to back 100 footers...
You are correct!!! Back to the topic before a moderator splits this one too.
Buy an Apeks and be done buying regs; you'll never want anything else.
Parts and service too. Oh, sorry sorry sorry it just slipped out. steve
Welcome to the board from another KY diver; I am in far western KY though. Be sure to check the "Kentucky Piranha Patrol" in the club section of the board. I think there are several from your neck of the woods that hang out there. Lots of info here. enjoy steve
In his very first post on page four of this thread, the man said, "feel free to ask me questions," which is what I did. Hard to stay EXACTLY on topic since we don't even know what the topic is. I mean the topic IS the product. The product IS a secret. Maybe the product is a new line of...
I'm sure your new product will turn the diving world upside down; I'm real happy for you. Now, tell me where I can get some parts for a Dacor reg????
Steve (never buy Dacor/Mares again) Sullivan
Hope I'm not underwater on March 5. I might get narced and miss the big event; then I'll miss out and have to keep divin this non-Mares junk I've been using.
Oh, nevermind, I don't think I'm interested; it would be my luck if I got some of this new Mares gear, they would quit supplying...
Like the other posters stated, $30-$50 per day for a full set; some shops give you a break if you sign up for a boat trip. My OPW instructor let me borrow gear (free) for a few local quarry trips and tag along on cert dives for other classes; something like that might be a option. PLEASE, take...
