    The Teric's Battery Performance.

I pack a small power board. Also means that when I traval to foreign countries that I only need a single adaptor for all my chargers.

Putting On The Wetsuit ---- One Easy Item Prevents Hassles

There's a live aboard near here that has an industrial (brothel?) sized tub of lube. Works wonders for those tight thick wet wetsuits. It think the dive skin is less icky though.

    VDH BP/W package review

To avoid taking this thread off tangent on a typical SB rant, just read this. Each to their own though. GUE gear requirements

    Cave diving in Yucatan Peninsula

Wow. I found that stressful to watch. The scenery was amazing. The host introduced himself as someone who had done "over a thousand ocean dives, a hundred in caves, and having done months of intensive training in the lead-up". Wow yeah nah. The guy had terrible trim, buoyancy, and his...

My descent into and out of madness: GUE Fundamentals, or Instruction vs Evaluation

@tmassey Thanks for the great writeup firstly. I think your thoughts are probably like many people post class, and over time your perspective may shift a little as you reflect. It's certainly a humbling experience at first - I think the worst ascent's I have ever done, OW class included, were...

    Tool kit for regulators

Innovative T-2 Scuba Toolpack can work + a pack of o-rings. But I don't really like those foldout tools. Scubatools used to sell a nice all-in-one spanner and all-in-one allen key set with all the scuba sizes but I don't see it on their website.

A question on these wings that everyone on here seems to love - can the internal bungee be removed?

Purchasing a wing for cold water diving (Single Tank)

Looks like a good wing and people seem to like it. It's a bit hard to tell from the photos on the site whether it accepts normal 2" cam-bands but i *think* it does. Might be worth shooting them a note if nobody here jumps in.

Purchasing a wing for cold water diving (Single Tank)

BTW the Oxycheq and Dolphin wings require the use of a single-tank adaptor, as they only have bolt holes. They may or may not line up with your Hollis plates. The Apeks does have slots to thread the cambands through the plate, but as to whether they line up with the Hollis plate slots or not...

Purchasing a wing for cold water diving (Single Tank)

You're going to want the 30lb wing for your setup. You need to assume the worst case - which is wing failure at depth when your wet-suit is compressed right at the beginning of the dive when you have a heavy tank. You also want to account adding some gear such as lights etc and be able to add a...

    bouyancy without reference point.

My previous Icon I actually found too sensitive. Waving my hand would often set off the ascent alarm which was annoying. But it basically had a sensitive ascent bar on the right of the screen and a slower to update numerical display. It only did ascent though, it didn't go the other way.

New to diving - first reg purchase recommendations

Did you ask for DIN tanks? I had zero issues in Belize or Mexico across 5 dive opps. All had convertible valves on some of their cylinders.

Self-Proclaimed Non-Anxious Hypochondriac Seeking Advice on DCI Symptoms

I am no doctor. But to me it sounds more like you took a mild CO2 hit from your "shallow breathing". The dizziness and nausea are classic symptoms. You probably need to work on your breathing technique some more, don't breath shallow because it leads to exactly this. The rest just sound like...

    Left handed?

My life. I have one car with the wipers on the left, and the other on the right. No matter which car I get in, I choose the wrong option. To stay on topic - OP, everyone else has said it already, but you are over-thinking it. Scuba's a dual handed activity, in fact you probably will use your...

what do YOU do with your car keys?

My problem is using the mechanical key on the LR causes the car alarm to go off. Not a big issue but annoying. It's simpler just to use the key safe.

what do YOU do with your car keys?

Another vote for the key safe / lock box clipped to a part of the car such as the tow-hook that's non removeable.

    Diving in Thailand vs Vietnam???

Another vote for Koh Tao at that time of year. I always reccomend Master Divers but in honesty all the shops there are good. It's basically a scuba diving factory there.
