No "winner" but Allan Power claimed to have over 15k dives just on the Coolidge. That's 15k deep air, deco dives. That's a hell of a lot.
And if you haven't done the SS President Coolidge, add it to your bucket list :)

I've only used maybe 4 or 5. While there's some difference in quality of the finish, I used the $20 dive gear express one without issue.
Do people still not have any convertible tanks in their fleet these days?
Sorry but i'm going to be the negative nancy. If you aren't yet comfortable swimming with your face underwater, you need to nail that before decide to take up scuba. If you can't breath underwater comfortably with a full or missing mask you are going to be risking a panicked ascent which is very...
But yoke o-rings can blow at any time. I've never seen anyone show that there's actually a relationship between a small stream of bubbles and an imminent failure. And what about the valve neck o-ring?
I just practice good buddy diving all the time, as many other failures and unexpected issues...
I dunno. Decided to solo dove spontaneously. Didn't even have an SMB let alone a PLB. Had a dive "plan" that seemed to start with a boat entry and a shore swim exit, but no preset plans to communicate safe arrival. What can we learn? Not to be blase in our dive planning?
Btw I have to say...
Maybe learning to dive in the pacific in third world countries has made me somewhat blasé, but I've discovered that some of you Americans get real worried about a yoke o-ring bubbling underwater. It's a very common occurrence over this side of the globe.
It was a real surprise to me in Belize...
Medical emergency? One has an episode, the second attempts a rescue and all **** hits the fan? Having all the gas in the world isn't going to help if one of them can't breathe (IPE) or has another issue (stroke, heart attack etc).
All guesses, but having enough bailout doesn't guarantee you can...
Really? The 12.2L /HP100 are pretty much the standard steel cylinder for single and doubles down here.
They do make a "squat" version, maybe that's what you are referring to?
I've seen a trainee cave-diver on a course emerge from a sea-cave so distraught she said she'd never enter a a cave ever again. So while I personally never entered that cave, I assume that classifying all sea-caves as benign is a little unrealistic.
I've seen on other forums where some key words in posts automatically are given a hover-over popup with some alternate text.
I was wondering if it might be possible to code some basic unit conversions covering
Depth - 50 ft or 50ft would have a hover-over showing 15m (and visa versa)
Pressure -...
One of the chemicals in soda lime is sodium hydroxide which is what they use to melt the aluminium out of crushed bauxite. So I imagine it doesn't do it much good.
I do hate the stupid narration on video's like that. "Scientists were astounded to find stalagites". Right.. since none of the scientists bothered to read any of the reports from the tens of thousands of divers who've dived there before.
