If you are going to hunt, you need to accept that you can be hunted. I you difinition of liberty one in which you can do anything you want with zero consequences?
So the recall and the FAQ are unclear to me. If I buy a new Yellow transmitter today, does it have a different tranmission interval or not? The FAQ talks about replacing the Yellows with Grey if you send it back.
I'm no expert. But I can sympathise - I had the exact same issue when I started to learn the back-kick. I'd cramp like a mofo several kicks in. But over time, it just stopped happening. I'm not sure if it was technique improvement or my body adapting, but it just went away thankfully.
People are funny. I remember diving with one fellow from Russia who was the nicest guy on the boat. But underwater he would physically climb over you to get a shot. Every dive there were multiple instances of him shoving some other diver out of the way to get his photo. People on the boat didn't...
If you dive with open heeled fins, your HP hose makes a great holder for your fins if you have to climb up/down a ladder. Just thread the hose through the heel-strip and clip it off.
Not sure I agree that US carriers are more generous. The only airline I've had issues with weight due to scuba gear is AA. You get what, 20KG checked and once you go over it's like $200 each way per bag? Most airlines you get betwen 23 and 32KG and the over-weight costs are far more reasonable...
So does anyone know what exactly the issue was with the hoses?
I'm curios because as I was cutting the ends off for the recall, i noticed that I cut through one hose like butter. The other was a real pain to cut - which more closely aligns to the videos you see of people simulating hose failures.
I read the other day that Sipidan has now
a) banned all diving in December (no real issue)
b) set a max of 3 dives per day. So no more 5 dive dive-days.
Apart from the obvious unexpected wildlife, Nothing but trash. I'm still a little jealous of the photos of my old man bringing up a canon they stumbled across.
SCUBA REGULATOR MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR by Vance Harlow
Is what most people point people at. There's another one too but it's escaping my mind for the moment.
We often split the gear between the suitcases on the way there, but put it all in one on the way back due to being wet.
We use hard-shell cases in order to protecte the gear. Everything except 'puter, can light head, and regs goes in the suitcase. Those three go in a reg-bag that goes into a...
The myth perpetuates here still, but I think mostly so parents don't have to worry about cleaning vomit out of a pool.Every adult knows it's bollocks. Just the same as the magic chemicals that turns bright blue if the kid pees in the pool.
Can you ask the shop if you can do a refresher? I personally would advise against jumping in with your dive history without an experienced diver focused on assisting you.
The more features the more likely a bug will be introduced.
I don't think Shearwater market their products at the kind of diver who forgets to check their gas settings before splashing.
