If you received your OW cert from PADI, can you take the nitrox course from another agency such as NAUI or SSI? I would assume the answer is "yes" but thought I'd ask.
I don't think I articulated my question very well. What I want to know is whether on the same dive day, can I use my reg with a tank of air for a deeper dive, and then for the 2nd dive that day, switch the reg (used earlier with air) to a tank of nitrox (<40%)? I have seen a DM do that...
If using less than a 40% mix, can you use your regulator interchangeably with Nitrox and air? Or must I have one regulator dedicated to use on Nitrox and another dedicated to air?
ScubaToys is a great to deal with. I have never dove with an Aeris Sport but my father in law has and he seems to like it. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles but for him it was a cost effective solution. Not a bad choice at that price point. I have never dealt with Aeris' customer...
Caymans in May for a week. :dazzler1:
Cozumel in July for a weekend. :crafty:
Would like to find time and money for a trip to Roatan or Belize in August or September. ;)
Bora Bora on the wish list. :11ztongue
It looks like Bush's tax plan for economic recovery does work. Give people their money back through lower taxes and they will purchase goods stimulating the economy. I'm doing the same with my refund, more or less.
I wouldn't purchase an Aeris computer. I personally own an Atmos 2 and I like the computer itself and its functionality. However, I have found their quality control to be lacking. The brand new Atmos 2 I purchased apparently contained an older software version. That should not happen, especially...
The Beaches resort in the Turks & Caicos has an excellent kid's program. Great resort, albeit a little pricey, and the "nannies" that run the kid's program are very, very good. We were 100% comfortable leaving our 2 year old with them. He had a great time and we picked him up after diving...

I also love my Oceanic Probe. Very comfortable and user friendly, but a BC is a personal choice and you have to try them out to find what works best for you.
I'm not sure about the titanium version of the swivel but I do have a SS one on my Atomic B2 and that swivel is a very nice creature comfort item. Less pull. Seems to be very well made as are all Atomic products.
I recently had a similar experience in Cozumel. Carry on security confiscated my scuba tool (wrench and hex set), a pair of needle nose pliers and a retractor (because the wire could be used as a weapon). Other than that, had no problems with carrying on my regs and other equipment.
