Travel to the Philippines in 2022?

Sorry, no "our kind" of tourists allowed to enter Philippines still : "Only a small demographic of foreigners can currently visit the Philippines, and from February, they will need to be fully vaccinated. This includes people with pre-existing visas, those registered under the Balikbayan...

Travel to the Philippines in 2022?

Those who have not had the omicron and travel to destinations that require a PCR prior to arrival take a lot of chances. A positive test(chances are very high), will be reported to the public health authorities which will require mandatory isolation often in a government approved location...

Travel to the Philippines in 2022?

I truly feel for those small businesses that invested in the Philippines and the other S.Asian countries, especially the travel industry, 3rd year income loss compounded by interest on loans, maintenance costs, taxes etc. Useless restrictions imposed by countries that in the end achieve close to...

Typhoon Odette Effect on a Coral Reef in Dauin

I can't imagine the hardship there, even before the infrastructure was so inadequate, now after some patch work it'll be even worse.

Typhoon Odette Effect on a Coral Reef in Dauin

Thank you for sharing the video and the info. I assume the effects on the reef around Apo island would be similar? I've been waiting for reports re. damage on reefs in Sogod Bay. The shallow gardens in 4m and up close to shore, on the West side of the Bay, was told that were completely gone😭

    Please help Southern Leyte

This subforum was the busiest pre covid with dreamers like me thinking of the adventures of the past and planning new ones for the future. Those who have been in Southern Leyte must've seen the conditions the guides and their families lived in. Most of them lived in soft material structures...

    Advice on Philippines Itinerary

Totally agree, way more relaxing that way with a possibility of side trips if conditions permit. I truly hoped to go in February and spend a few months in So.Leyte, so sad, if it's not the covid it's a natural disaster...P Burgos was directly hit by Odette😭

Shore diving and local culture recommendations

One day, while two of us were trying to do some work on an artificial reef project very close to the shore, the current all of a sudden went nuts, we tried holding onto the pipes on the reef and buy some time but soon that became exausting so we ended up surfacing safely and swam back to the...

Shore diving and local culture recommendations

9 I would suggest taking the family to Bonaire for shore diving, it's easy, beautiful, give them a chance to build confidence, improve their skills and make it enjoyable so you hook them for ever, then you can step up the game and go to more advanced places like So.Leyte.

    Bauer Junior 1

I have not been able to get any details from the net on the previous gen of Bauer Junior. Does anyone own or had experience with these compressors? Was there a major change of the block with the Junior 2? Does it have a PMV? I work often in the High Arctic and on my last contract I spoke with a...

    Diving again in Moalboal

I hope you have cancellation insurance, although you bought the package during a travel advisory so I doubt any insurance would offer coverage... You have no idea how strict the Filipino rules are re.covid19 issues, we just managed to get out at end of July after being stranded for months, and...

    Philippines - where, oh where?

If a travel advisory for your destination had been issued by your home government prior to the departute, the travel medical insurance won't cover you. Leaving in two weeks for Pp (at least this is the plan for now)
