Well, like most people I dive with, we leave our phones at home or in the car.. Sure, now I always note the pressures down on my slate but it would be interesting to be able to input and save on the dc as well as use as a second check during a dive on how your gas usage compares to entered sac...
I have seen cableless setups before, but that one had a sensor on an arm connected to the stroke which was placed so it could see the camera flash and trigger.. But most people use a cable for ttl.. We use the ys-01 and 3 both with cable
Here it depends on how the booking was made.
Walk-in to the shop -> show cert etc
Remote-booking -> due to planning we now ask for level in advance etc
But once you come to the store we ask for cert and you fill out forms etc..one of these is the risk awareness form where you acknowledge that...
hmm, interesting, I know we sell Cressi but the ones we tried with didnt have that issue so far... fingers crossed.
Most I dive with and myself all use low volume frameless masks (like the scubapro/noc/poseidon etc), very thin volume, single glass pane. Got a new SP frameless end of august...
yeah, anytime people come ot buy new masks here we tell them to use whitening paste first few times OR let us burn away the silicone for them for free. If youve never done it before you might hesitate but it's very very easy if you see it done once. You only need to do it once and the mask never...
wife and me will be in pdc 9-11/11 before heading down to tulum, diving only with protec (tamara for the caves). When it comes to the bullshark diving, protec assured me that a) their operator does NOT feed them b) they stay away from the feeding spots
It would be a nice feature if they added a small menu where you pre-dive can set your starting pressure and sac rate..then end of dive you could see the calculated sac vs what you actually have and then enter actual end pressure.. well, they have this in the phone app but on the computer would...
definitely bring a wetsuit.. even with plenty of bioprene on my buddies from the hardy scandinavia we would dive with wetsuits (3-5mm or dry for end of year)..the cold slowly seeps in and then its hard to get rid of..sucks to have to skip a few dives or shorten them just because you were too...
I take above with a pinch of salt ;)
Anyway, here is how cloud storage usually works roughly with regards to user data:
- data is captured on one device (here divedata is transferred via bluetooth to device)
- that device will now connect to a cloud storage (such as opencloud, AWS etc) using the...
It's a bit finnicky and many will say you should use a separate wing for each use but let me describe what I use and what works very well for me:
Here in Sweden I part-dime as DM and here many dive doubles in dry suits..the gear I use and works very well for me is:
- trilam santi e-motion
-...
Well, once Desktop has cloud you only need to sync once to have all dives across devices. These days it's quicker and easier for me to sync to my phone right away after a dive and enter gas etc.. This way I could sync on the phone and when I get home to my Mac the dive is already there
1) yes, the planner will ask if you want to plan to dive NOW or later
2) yes, with the bungees it should fit most. I tried it on my wifes nearly too skinny wrists and it held in place (Ive got the petrel, bit larger) so the perdix should be fine
hmm, even with dry gloves and thick undergloves Ive never had any problem using my trilobite. I have two, one on my wrist with DC1 and one at waist with my EMT shears. have a short knife as posted earlier as well with blunt end as a tool but never have any need to use a "knife"
fair enough at those prices. Here I can get an E-motion for about 1800$ retail, actual cost about 1600ish. Ursuit a bit cheaper.
I know the deep6 makara is pretty much a custom ursuit softdura at 1900 that seems like a good price..except I would hesitate to recommend ursuit right now
