Personally I think Papaya Moon has the best ribs on the island. And I consider myself a rib connoisseur! Bonaire certainly has a way of growing on you! Join the club about returning!
Bas..I'm surprised you can't get this at the Marine store. At any rate would be glad to transport down, but we don't arrive till end of July. if you can't get anyone else sooner, PM me for shipping details.
The Bonaire Insider - News Item: New Beachfront Condo Opens for Vacation Rentals, VINIBU at Bellevue
The water's fine, the diving is great & the beachfront ocean views are simply awesome
Jersey: You are quite Correct! It was so bloody hot in North Jersey last week that indeed it would have been a MUCH more comfortable 85 with tradewinds on Bonaire surrounded by the blue Caribbean and a few palm trees.
Summer is one of our favorite times to visit Bonaire. The water many times is like a sheet of glass, viz > 100 feet and the water temps 82-85 F.
Yes the air temps are a bit hotter. However the most important issue from my point of view is Hurricane activity in the Caribbean basin. They have a...
Looks like you've got enough sites to keep you busy! A great (unmarked) site which I see is not on your list would be "the Rock" located down south. I believe it's right after Invisibles (if memory serves me correctly). Swim straight out about 100 yards to the drop off & drop down on a beautiful...
Bilsant..Well you're in for a treat! For a first timer I'd recommend reading the bonairetalk board which addresses a whole host of different issues. I'd also pick up a copy of Bonaire Shorediving made easy. As far as accommodations, Bonaire has all types, from 1st class accommodations, to dive...
Why are you wasting your time diving in Aruba when Bonaire is so very much superior in this area? Next dive trip, head to Bonaire and dive your own schedule. You'll be very glad you did!
DM...I'm glad to see that you enjoyed your return trip.. Yes, we also enjoy watching other divers. Amazing the things you can see. Even funny wetsuits.
However I'm one of those divers that do paddle out to the drop off. We do a lot of our diving further south where the reef drop off is further...
Great trip reports & pics..Enjoyed reading it. For equipment repairs, the best place is to look up Bruce @ Carib Inn. There are some nice sandy entries down south which are not official dive sites.Next trip try to dive "The Rock", nice sand entry and an underwater island about 150 yards straight...
ernani.. I've not found an island in the Carib which has all the shore diving which has made Bonaire famous (which is one of the reasons we bought there). Having said that, I've made a few hundred shore dives on St Croix. Specifically, Cane Bay, Davis Bay & Salt River. Cane Bay was my favorite...
