    Hull Cleaning Information

Good point. There's a lot of creativity out there in terms of equipment/tools/techniques, and I'm not above using someone else good idea. I probably spend way too much time at Harbor Freight thinking of ways to adapt stuff to my job....

Amen to that... the anti-fouling properties of state-side bottom paint has been shrinking over the past years. DIY scuba Hookah

Porbeagle nailed it, if you want a safe and reliable hookah use a scuba tank and reg. combo with a 50 ft. hose. I clean boat bottoms for a living in Sarasota, Fl, and for all of us bottom scrubbers it's the standard. No tank on your back, but if the rig rolls of the dock/boat it's no big deal...

    Careers in diving

Pipedope summed it up perfectly! Diving is just your ride to work. Do some research and find what suits you. I did the gulf thing for a while, then dove papermills and inland pipeline surveying, then just got tired of roaming around. Now I clean boats and do prop work, working for myself in...

dive slates - what kind of plastic?

Try using a cheap, white plastic 5 gallon bucket from the hardware store... it cuts up easy and holds pencil marks well... I use one as a floating toolbucket and the sides work great as a notepad....
