Can't find a good movie or documentary about Scuba diving

It's on Outside TV: Outside TV though full episodes may only be available through the Outside TV channel that you can view through a couple cable providers and through Sling TV. On Sling you can see the episodes on weekdays at 6pm (I have Sling with the Outside TV channel)

Can't find a good movie or documentary about Scuba diving

    - Descending (show) - fits what you're looking for the best I think as it's specifically about diving - Sanctum (movie about cave diving) - The Deep (movie about treasure, a little diving in it)

New gear, Hose lengths and stuff?

I run a 24in SPG hose on doubles and 26in on singles. I'd go 26inch for you. You'll need a spool (piece with orings that fits between the SPG and hose) - usually an option to order with the hose. Wait on the trim pockets till you get the BCD. For inflation hose, if you ordered the BCD new, it...

Anybody making 30 to 60 thousand lumen dive lights? Besides Big Blue??

You're artifact hunting with a 120 degree beam light? That seems like your problem right there. Your available light output is spread out over a huge swath of area. You should take a look at lights with a 6 degree to 10 degree beam - I prefer 6 degree. This focuses your available light into a...

    Skip breathing Vs Buoyancy control

When you take a big breath but can quickly breath back out and then back in with no resistance/feeling your glottis is open. Closing it is a little like doing a breath hold and the back of your thoroat comes forward to close off the airway. When you breath back out you can feel the resistance a...

    Skip breathing Vs Buoyancy control

Meh, if you're relatively neutral, I wouldn't worry too much about taking big breaths to make small changes to your location in the water column. Just make sure to exhale relatively soon after the change. If making big changes, use your BCD, though often you can take a big breath in which starts...

    Buford Sink

If there's a death at Buford though, both sites have a chance to be closed. Is doing nothing better than at least doing something such as signs, etc.?

    Buford Sink

I've been fortunate to dive Buford several times over the years and twice in the last couple months. It is an absolutely beautiful spring with an enormous cavern. My second dive at Buford, probably eight or nine years ago, I dived it in double lp85s, which was a big mistake. Not only was it a...

    Going with Doubles

These Worthington/XS Scuba HP119s are 8 inches in diameter... Looks like Faber HP117s are also 8 inch tanks and these along with LP95s are all listed at 15L Worthington HP119 Steel Tank Here's a good comparison chart of similar HP and LP tanks...

    Katana 2

I certainly appreciate those that want to take a class and am sure it could be quite helpful, but I'm not sure a class is needed for everything. For example, I learned to dive doubles on my own with friends help. I have a number of buddies who dive sidemount who thankfully are willing to offer...

    Cavediver.net

I haven't been able to view it on my cell phone for the last few days, I have an Android phone with Chrome. When I try to view it, I just get a bunch of links and it looks very strange. It was working last night on a laptop though

    Katana 2

Just got a Katana 2 and am really looking forward to trying it out. I may try out some LP108s I have to see if they will work, but I've heard that they will be fairly large for sidemount with the majority here in FL running LP85s. A question I had was about switching the harness to the H style...

Katana 2 vs. XDeep vs. Other?

The person I was chatting with at Cave Adventurers mentioned that at times the XDeep tends to beach ball a bit and the rear dump can be difficult to access with large steel cylinders. He also said something about gas transfer throughout the wing, but I don't remember exactly what that was...

Katana 2 vs. XDeep vs. Other?

I've been thinking of getting into sidemount and was curious about the different set ups available. I was at Cave Adventurers yesterday and of course they were pushing the Katana 2. I'd love to hear others' experiences with the various systems out there. What do you like? What don't you like...
