Should I go back to traditional reg set-up? (vs. primary donate)

Oh, and to directly address your question: Changing your set up will have no effect on whether your buddy infects you, so no. Unless you feel you may infect your buddy and want to possibly protect him.

Should I go back to traditional reg set-up? (vs. primary donate)

From this article (From a surfers point of view) COVID-19 and Beach Water Quality: Updates from the Research Community "Does the virus spread through recreational waterways? The virus has been shown to remain viable and infectious, at least temporarily, in natural freshwater environments...

Should I go back to traditional reg set-up? (vs. primary donate)

I would think if your donor has COVID-19 then pretty much anything they set up on their gear would be contaminated by their touch. If they have a traditional octo then they probably placed it in whatever location they chose touching it with their hands.... I'd skip diving if this was a concern...

Log Sheet Design open for comments

The best thing about making your own is you track the info you want to track. The only thing I'd say after looking at your sheet is: Why do you list your buddy as part of the weather?

    Honeymoon Recommendations

I'm on Oahu so not much help where you are headed, but I will say November is pretty early for whales. We have really only begun to see whales consistently each day over the last 6 weeks this year

    Warranty question

https://www.scubapro.com/scubapro-warranty The source usually has the most accurate information ETA: "If I buy a SCUBAPRO product in my country, do I have a lifetime warranty worldwide? Only SCUBAPRO regulators and select fin models are covered by a lifetime worldwide warranty to the...

    Maui dive conditions currently

Whatever is happening today will be different tomorrow... The water temp is probably the only thing that won't change multiple times in the next couple of weeks; somewhere around 73° plus or minus a degree or two. My last 4 dives (on Oahu). I've gone board shorts or 3mm wet suit

From PADI OpenWater to SSI Advanced Open Water Diver?

Advanced Adventurer is basically a sample platter and not a level of training from SSI, just a cool card to have  The quote is from SSI's website description of Advanced Adventurer SSI's progression (That seems to matter beyond cards) is Open Water Diver, Specialty Diver -- 12 dives...

New Fast-Attack Nuclear Submarines to be Named Arizona and Oklahoma

I think the Navy understands Naval Tradition and has a good grasp on proper and respectful naming of their ships. Plus they definitely are not hung up on sentimentality. When a boat has gone beyond useful purposes it is sold off for scrap. Just like the Oklahoma was.... BTW, I volunteer on...

28 Hours of No Fly Time?

From the manual. You make the call... 3.27. Surface and no-fly time After a dive, Suunto EON Core displays surface time since the previous dive and a countdown time for recommended no-fly time. During the no-fly time, flying or traveling to higher altitude should be avoided. No-fly time is...

    Trip report Oahu Xmas week

I won't mention the shop I work for here but I will say I'd recommend choosing a company that owns their own boat. Some of the dive operations here charter space on a boat so you may have several groups all doing their own thing on the boat with the captain only concerned with driving the boat...

    Deep6 Wetsuit Sale

Took my 3mm out for a spin here yesterday. WARM! (water temps in Hawaii are still not too cold) Added 6# which was pretty much spot on (normally use 12# with board shorts and rashguard). I did have to fin down a bit once a couple feet under but once I got a little suit compression my buoyancy...
