We don't check log books, but sometimes, when I jump in the water with a "I'm certified" diver whom hasn't been underwater in more than a decade, I wished we did...
Reading through the Deep Blue Diving article linked above I found this statement:
"4. Make sure the level is where you want it – Many recreational divers make use of Nitrox, which tends to be about 21% oxygen. That said, some mixtures can range from 22% to 40%, so check with the manufacturer to...
I'm using MacDive downloading directly from my dive computer (Eon Core)
I don't use every feature but like to keep a basic log to be able look back upon gear used, weight, critters etc
DM5 seems to work on Mac OS 10.15.5
I was prepared to follow the excellent guide from above, but when I updated the other day, I found DM5 to work fine and sync with all of my computers....
Aloha and welcome to the islands!
I like your idea to just get out and dive to get some experience. Then you can work towards SSI's AOW if you so desire, or you can. just do the specialties that you will use in your diving (Deep, Nitrox, nav, etc)
You are correct. The test is needed or else you must quarantine for 14 days. There have been violators of this quarantine arrested (at least on Oahu). Governor Ige hasn't provided an answer to the challenge of getting the test done.... We've lost 80-90% of our business so we would like to see...
When do you inflate your SMB?
On those long lonely nights spent at sea...
:crafty:
I do it before the safety stop. After I send the SMB to the surface I can dump any air remaining in my BC, and use the SMB to to bring me to 15'
I'd think one end over the curb and cut.... LOL
It seems to be a pretty stiff material so I don't think it would flap around. And since you already have the sawzall it doesn't hurt to try
I really like the design of your parka. Would love to see the same design made with the material of the poncho.
Driving our dive boats I see our instructors loving the Scubapro Crew Jacket, but the outer shell is consistently shredded after about a year.
That said I still have you on my list...
This place can be maddeningly myopic at times (can you say BPW or Shearwater)
But the knowledge base here is amazing and the people really can be helpful
So count me in to continue showing my thanks for all the info :)
The average diver on Scubaboard appears different from the true average diver because of some very vocal fanboys with some very strong opinions:
Regular jacket style BC? You're gonna die unless you get a BPW!
Even worse a Hydros Pro? You're not only gonna die, but you are a poser spending too...
