    New computer purchase

I like my EON, D5 is easier to read in the sun

Do you think this could be DCS?

It is kinda funny how this line of query went astray, but from my POV I think it did so because you called the dived aggressive. I know I was thinking "That's not an aggressive dive!" "I do dives like that several times a week" But I can see that if you were just using tables it was "off the...

Extension hose for wireless air transmitter

Use whatever hose you prefer. My Suunto transmitter requires a specific spool. (Different from when the Tank Pod is attached directly to the first stage)

    Who is still diving?

Diving in Hawaii!?!? :callme: I got four boat dives in this past Fri/Sat. Though restrictions (10 per boat) are making it hard to get out as consistently as pre COVID Shore diving can be done as often as one wants to

    PADI?

I've taken thousands of customers out on our boats and don't recall which agency they certified through for any of them. Yes the shop checks to ensure certification, but on the boat, we dive.

    Canister for PLB

Well I feel fully scolded by our expert here. I NEVER knew aqua meant water. WOW! Sorry I was just trying to add a consideration that many divers need to keep in mind if they are buying a leaky canister. Though they may have the aqualink PLB they may not want to add a keyfob to said...

    Canister for PLB

Absolutely nothing. He may have followed the directions perfectly or not at all. Yours leaking or not has no bearing on his following of instructions

    Canister for PLB

Some cars only have a FOB. I'd rather my $1000 camera get stolen out of my car than have my significantly more expensive car get stolen because I hid my fob in the car. Accepting a "Leak proof" container as ok if it leaks is not acceptable in my book. Sharing the information that your leak...

    Canister for PLB

Unless you are keeping your oh so expensive (and not rated to anything) automobile key fob in the canister....

    Paypal hates me now

I stand corrected. I am not a fan of PayPal because they can be so arbitrary

    Paypal hates me now

Didn't you choose to make a risky purchase and plan on PayPal being the ones who would bail you out if it went wrong? Maybe they felt your patronage of their service was not a good value for them

    D5 and transponder issue

suunto d5 computer On a side note, you shouldn't have to breathe your regs to get the tank pod to link with your D5. Simply turn on your air.

    suunto d5 computer

I'm not sure how you can see your entire dive before it happened, but if it recorded your pressure throughout the dive yet failed to display it, then there is a problem that will need Suunto help.

    suunto d5 computer

So after the dive you could see only the starting pressure of the. dive? Or could you see the entire dive graph of your air pressure? If the former you may have simply lost connection. If the. latter and you just had dashes throughout your dive it sounds as if you may need to contact Suunto

You said it showed your starting pressure. Perhaps it dropped after reading the starting pressure, mine did.

Were you still connected to the tank pod? The other day my tank pod dropped off my D5 for a moment. I reset it and all was well

Aloha from California! Looking for local divers in Oahu and Kauai

And the pendulum swings: The state will delay by at least a month the planned Aug. 1 reopening of Hawaii’s tourism industry with a traveler pre-testing program, Gov. David Ige has announced.

Dive computer advances in the last decade

Yes you are missing something. Find a new computer (EON Core is what I dive) and you will see some very nice displays. Since I don't have an old computer to compare to all I can say is that my screen is DEFINITELY not based on an 8 making all the numbers... ETA:
