Canada is no longer warning against non-essential travel

I'm waiting for the PCR/NAAT testing requirement to be removed for land travel from the US. THEN I'll get excited...

Thanks for including a screenshot. I used to get those in my email at work, but didn't know they had a name.

    What's in the upgrade?

I think it used to be a small grey circle between the OP's avatar and the thread title, and there may have been another way at the far right of the thread's row. Regardless, I'm still not seeing anything. I was last logged in right before it went down, so I don't think it's a matter of time as...

    What happened to The Pub?

I didn't time it, but the Pub is now visible to me after having initially logged in about an hour or so ago.

    What's in the upgrade?

The board looks great! I do have a question, however... there used to be a feature where you could click and be taken to recent posts in a thread from the time one last logged in. That seems to be gone now, and the only option is to click on on the most recent date/time of the last post then...

Wondering where your stuff from overseas is? Shipaggedon!

This service is good when it works, but I'd likely never use it again. Sold something to a buyer on eBay, free shipping, so on my dime as the seller. It takes longer than USPS most times, but not by much, and I hadn't had any problems prior, so I used it. UPS did their job, according to...

Visiting Canada by car. . .

Sounds spendy. I flew from Vancouver to Seattle, picked up a one-way rental at Sea-Tac then drove back to Vancouver once I was done w/ stuff in WA. Not the most convenient, but likely less expensive than your jaunts, and well worth effort.

    APEKS XTX 200 Regulator - $375???

Do you know anyone who's in the military and has a dive shop on the grounds? I scored that model about a decade ago for less than $500 USD, no tax, IIRC. Fort Lewis Scuba or something or other... picked up for me by an army captain and covered by warranty, but I wound up not diving often enough...

Wondering where your stuff from overseas is? Shipaggedon!

I see what you're saying. The seller didn't offer any better level of service, though. I wrote her to let her know the status and she said it took about 6 wks for an item to reach the US, so I still have some hope for my vase.

Wondering where your stuff from overseas is? Shipaggedon!

Yeah, I thought passenger planes at first since Canada isn't letting anyone in, but the UK managed to get a parcel to my via air, and this was just regular Royal Mail, so how'd they swing that, I wonder? DHL has no explanation on their website either; just coloured dots indicating where...

Wondering where your stuff from overseas is? Shipaggedon!

Any thoughts on why Germany/DHL mail, not Express, is limiting cargo flights? Sounds like a dumb question perhaps, but the UK is able to ship via air, so I'm curious why Germany can't/won't. I had a comparable sized box arrive from England in just a couple weeks, yet Germany can only ship such...

Wondering where your stuff from overseas is? Shipaggedon!

Any thoughts on containers coming over from Germany? I've been waiting on a parcel that was too large to ship via their limited air service for well over a month now. Coming via DHL's regular service (not the courier arm), bound for Vancouver, Canada. My guess is it'll enter Canada back east.

Yeah, figured this when the website was taken down. Kev's on to a bright future, however, so kudos to him!

    Removing Scratches from Computer face

If you can't find NOVUS, try looking for Autosol metal polish. I learned of it when I was trying to figure out how to remove scratches from plastic watch crystals. It came highly recommended and it does work. Depending on how deep the scratches are, it might take a bit of elbow grease, but worth...

Where to send regs away for service?

Since others addressed the 'laziness' issue, I'll address option 2. The OP has Apeks regs, as I do. I was extremely fortunate to have been able to buy mine from a dive shop connected to an army base in the US, and only paid $477 USD, no tax. The same reg set would have cost me approx. $1500 CAD...

    Scuba Dating?

There used to be a singles section, not sure why it was archived/deleted. IIRC, it even contained a thread for people 'looking.' I can think of at least 2 couples who met here—possibly still together.
