    Monterey Reef Check divers

Oh, I misread May as March. I might try to get in that time as well.

    Monterey Reef Check divers

Wow, looks very interesting. I don't know if I'll be able to have the required dives (or funds) by March, but certainly in time for the July class. I'm trying to hit 20 by the beginning of the March so I can take a resue course. How many dives in the typical rescue class? I might be able to...

Anyone interested in a weekday dive in monterey

NO surf? The water looked pretty rough today. I hear it is supposed to calm down by Sunday (haven't looked at reports yet). I am usually good for MOnday dives. I couldn't do it this Monday, but the following MOnday would work.

    Monterey Dive Weather Watch

I'd be interested in this too, though I'm still a new diver. I'll have my sister in law in town from out of country for the next month. It'd be good to do it while she is here. Sundays woudl work better for me, though with enough notice, I shoudl be able to schedule a Saturday if need be.

    Monterey Mon. 10/16

Sure, provided nothing comes up, I'll be up for it. I'm a novice too, but have been out at the breakwater a few times. i might drag one or two people from work along as well if their schedules are free.

Monterey Bay Aquarium White Shark 2006

YOu can catch a good view of him on the outter bay tank webcam. He's been swimming near the top of the tank since they put him in, so you get a pretty good closeup every few minutes. Since this afternoon though, he's started taking some different routes through the tank and going a bit deeper.

I'm a diving noob, but would be interested in going. ONly thing is I have a work interview at 9:30 that could last anywhere between 30 mins to a couple hours and I won't know until I get in there.

Anyone up for diving with a n00b on Monday?

I went through OW back in May, but have put off diving until I could get gear (and knock down that $70 rental fee a bit). Now I've aquired enough things that renting won't cause me to go broke and I'm dying to get out in the water. The weather's been great, the water's clear and I have a new...

    Curious about Cressi Big Eyes

I borrowed one of these from a coworker for my OW class. The mask seemed to put a lot of pressure on my septum, perhaps it was a bit small for me. It'd didn't kill the dives for me, but made them a bit uncomforatbale. I didn't however have any problems wearing it with a 7mm hood.

    Another Monterey Diver checking in

Thanks. I sent your group link to my sister in law, a PADI instructor who lives in Seoul. She checked it out and was wondering if the group is primarily for foreigners or if there are a lot of KOreans as well. Lookin gthrough the pics, it seems you have a good mix of both, but she didn't get...

    Overweighted for OW Class

I'm 245 and wearing a 7mm suit during my class, I wore 35 pounds. IIRC, the forumla my instructor gave me was 10% of body weight plus 10 pounds. I rounded up to 35 so I could wear the seasoft belt and it worked well both in the pool and in the ocean.
