ABWA - 2nd Annual Feb Dive.

I'll do multiple dives also, but I'll keep them on the conservative side since it's cold water. I'll be filled with 32% and I'd like to keep the PO2 no higher than 1.2.

    Thank you, ScubaBoarders

I hope your mom gets well soon, My dad is 92 and my mom is 87 so...I've done a little bedside time with them on several occasions. Here's a sure fire thing to lighten the mood; I'll put on my sunglasses, take my fathers cane, and then impersonate a blind person in search of the hospital vending...

    Reality Check after years

Ditto what Rick Inman said. It would be a shame for you to walk into a recreational dive shop and have them talk you into buying a bunch of gear that is totally unsuitable for wreck diving. Hey, you might want to get over to the wreck and technical diving forum and ask some questions there...

    Tipping....how much do you tip?

I have no problem with tipping for good service. A deck hand that that stows my second steel tank below deck, dosen't bang it around, gives me a hand getting into my harness - I appreciate that and I'll tip $20. I've only used one DM. I hired him for my first wreck dive as I knew absoultely...

I got entangled in my p-valve!

Good story and a good save to boot! But....you need to try my betty crocker knife mod. Drill a small hole in the end of the knife handle, and attach a 1/8 inch dia surgical tube bungee loop to go around your wrist. Makes it impossible to drop your knife. On a lighter note, teammate signals...

Rec open water ascents, trim and the team

Some while back Bob Sherwood posted an excellent piece about trim in midwater and trim on ascent. http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/dir-practitioners-zone/209488-trim-midwater-5.html It cleared up a lot of things for me.

ABWA - 2nd Annual Feb Dive.

I'll have my doubles and one single steel filled before I leave Atlanta. I doubt that I'll bring one of my 80's.

    Does Equipment Really Matter?

I tend to go for the highest quality gear that fits my needs. So far (knock on wood) I have had little to no equipment issues. After reading Garobo's post I went and looked at some of my equipment and I found that most of my stuff is made in the USA. Deep Sea Supply - Pasadena, CA DUI - San...

    Too much pressure in tank?

You got a good fill and you need to thank the guy who pumps up your tank. March thru October I'll have to get 3 or 4 fills a week for my working dives. I drop off a case of beer or leave a $20 on the regulator bench every week or two. I get good fills.;)

    Dive Rite or Scuba Pro

I own both Scubapro and Dive Rite regs. For first stages I personally prefer the Scubapro MK25's just for their hose routing configuration. I have mixed emotions about my 2nd stages. I like my S600 on the long hose as it's slightly smaller than my Dive Rite RG2010. On long dives I barely...

    New Rig....

Danny, you are going to absolutely love that Mach V for single tank diving. At first glance one wouldn't think that tiny little wing could displace 30 Lbs...but it does. Did Patrick stitch it in black or did you black out the Oxycheq logo?

    Bitten by a moray eel?

Here's a link to an exceptionally bad Moray bite. I'll think twice before playing around with a Moray. ttp://www.wemjournal.org/wmsonline/?request=get-document&issn=1080-6032&issue=03&volume=015&page=0194

    New Rig....

Ok this is honest and constructive criticism about your rig. I believe that if you take my advice you'll be a very happy diver. Here it goes; Most guys find the 2" crotch strap to be much more comfortable. You don't get the "butt floss" effect with a wider strap. You're too big for that...

Examples of a dive death that could not have been prevented?

Not to mention the fact that someone asked a legitimate question regarding diving deaths, I supplied a very direct and specific answer, with supporting doccumentation and references....and annmarie deleted my post for being "off topic". :shakehead:
