You can block the internal flash using the opaque card that Ike makes to attach to their housings. Or do what i do and tape up the inside of the housing with dark colored tape. Just be sure to leave a gap so the sensor can see the flash.

Do you wear a hooded vest? If you're looking to get some more insulation then adding neoprene over your core is gonna be the best bet. Try to find a hooded vest with like 7mm in the chest. I wear one diving around here that's probably 5mm or so.

I'm also a happy Bio Fin owner. I'm not familiar with the other fins but I've never heard of anyone who likes the feel of split fins not liking the bio's. I think if you want to pay the (expensive) price you won't be disappointed. Like Ron said keep an eye on ebay and you might get lucky.

UK C8 LED and Princeton Tec Shockwave LED are both great primary lights. Especially if you dive in murky water. I can't say i recommend the UK light canon as they seem really really moody.
