I have two of these for tech diving. Very nice products and not too expensive. Just attach a bolt snap and carry on the webbing strap.
Very good quality.
I dive BP & Wing. One thing that people said and I never believed is that the webbing is comfortable.
It is! Honestly I have just plain old webbing and no backpad and it feel absolutely fine. I never struggle getting in or out.
Plus it's so tough it'll last forever. I say go for it. Get a...
I'm doing fundamentals this weekend. I'm looking forward to meeting up with GUE divers and starting projects going forward.
It's nice to dive for an agency that carries out research, has strict training and safety regimes and is non profit.
I think rather than have 100 different peoples...
Hi Guys,
Seen this while night diving a couple of times can anyone identify what it is?
Red Sea (Saudi Coastline).

You can do PADI Advanced Open Water without a computer! But in the deep adventure dive you don't use deep stops. In fact I don't think PADI support deep stops in rec diving. Just the usual 3min safety stop.
Picking a computer depends a lot on your budget. I have a suunto vyper. It does...
I use an aluminium plate for ease when travelling. I dive mostly warm water using a 2.5mm shorty. I have a DIR zone Plate Weight which lives on my plate when I'm diving locally. This puts 6lb right on the plate channel (next to my back). Great for stability. I usually have another 4lbs in my...
I have both PADI rescue and Fundamentals coming up as my next 2 courses. So it'll be interesting to draw a comparison. One thing that should be noted is that PADI makes you do EFR whereas GUE doesn't require any formal first aid certification. However, most people who have a 'DIR' attitude would...

I use slipstreams paired with 6.5mm scubapro boots. The thick boots tend to offset and negative effects of the slip streams and they are comfortable. It may be to do with your weight placement rather than you fins.
Surely the lack of a pressure sensor would inhibit the iWatch becoming a dive computer.
Would be interesting if you could even wear it at 50m? Would it actually last sustained pressure.
