To be honest have no idea I stop at 3mm and go into drysuit. I Know my UK friends who dive large steel singles and wetsuit like to have the 40lbs wing.
I should mention I use the 30lb wing for singles even in a drysuit. I also don't use the backpad or strap pads as I feel the neoprene is adding buoyancy which I have to compensate for. Again I like to keep my rig extremely streamlined.
I have a halcyon carbon fibre BCD that I wouldn't trade for anything. You would probably need a 40lb lift wing if you are diving 7mm wetsuit. It comes in a nice pack with the weight pockets, single tank adaptor and padding. It's a great piece of kit. But then it's not cheap. OMS are the only...
Hey Divers,
Does anyone know where my wife can get prescription lens fittings for her Halcyon H view mask. She is needing them to see things in the distance.
The correction is about +1.5.

It's good to hear that other people are in the same boat. I've been having some convosations and to be honest I believe that if you can pass tech 1 and get the 25 experience dives done you are ready to move onto a Rebreather.
As discussed before there are merits to getting on a breather early...
I just sold my atomics. i prefer the scubapro regs.
Also the thing about Halcyon regs is pretty pointless because they are the same price anyway so just buy the scubapro version.
Did you take the regs in and show them? Admittedly when I asked they said no and said they never heard of halcyon...
I just brought them in and said can you service these regs and once he saw them he was ok with it.
No the Halcyon regs have a different coating it's not chrome it's supposed to be more hard wearing. I have two of each. The price is usually the same. I would recommend the MK25 I think it's the best first stage. But that's just me :).
I think GUE try to train a thinking diver so if you feel like you need to go solo/sidemount or whatever (like UK cave diving for example) then you use the correct tool for the job.
However it doesn't really fit into their team diving philosophy so they won't teach it on a course. That said if...
I tend to err towards turning at 1/3 gas (usually 120Bar on Single) which is good practice and then carrying out all my stops.
Then I use my reserve for practicing skills near the exit on the basis that if there is a problem I can ascend normally. Builds the idea of a solid reserve for a gas...
Well you are obviously talking bubbles because there was a way to help and my computer is now fully functioning with my Perdix running Windows 10 Creator edition. I have managed to download my dives and Microsoft haven't done a thing. All I needed to do was select Petrel instead of Perdix and...
I have seen this kind of behaviour a lot in the red sea. The big baracudas follow divers. A lot of the time the diver isn't even aware they are there. I have seen them lunge for the bubbles and I've had one lunge for my DSMB. Although I've never seen anything that would be described as an...
No I simply meant it would have been nice for them to try and help.
Jeddah is OK I've not been up to Yanbu I really should go up there while I have the chance. There are lots of nice wrecks in Jeddah as well.
Al lith is pretty good but no wrecks. Wonderful untouched reef though.
Would be useful if someone from Shearwater could give us a hand here. I mean to say that its bluetooth works but only with non Windows 10 & non Samsung phoens is kinda limiting your market a bit.
