Hi Guys,
I have just completed my Science of Diving & Dive Guide course and I'm working towards Divemaster Professional Status.
Does anyone have a link to the correct form I need to get filled in by the Doctor. I can't seem to find it on the SSI website. I have contacted my Dive Centre and am...
To be fair it isn't being marketed as a video light. Also I now have less trouble with the cable I've removed my weight pockets to allow me to get the canister further round my waist.
I have to say I prefer to dive doubles universally. I actually feel the set up is better suited to the type of diving in doing. Plus I like the stability. Only problem is getting them from the dc.
I dive in the Red Sea a lot from KSA and I have to admit I never feel the need for a wetsuit. I wear a 2.5mm shorty but I don't honestly feel I need it.
The night dives will be cold when you get in and especially when you get out. However Egypt is a little colder so I would go with 3mm long...
CWK I wouldn't keep rebreathing your BCD you'll end up with a chest infection or worse you'll black out and drown. Breathing loops need to be disinfected often with anti bacterial.
For the type of diving you are doing (20m depth and no overhead) I would suggest going with a normal single tank perhaps something like a steel 16l if you want to maximise your bottom time and just sling a small 40cu ft bailout bottle as a stage. I think you will have a lot less faff than and...
Whilst I agree to a certain extent with what you are saying I hope to complete my entire diving career without ever doing one. I understand the principle and technique as a last ditch attempt but honestly I would put it even behind something like a seatbelt on a car.
I think it really can be...
I use al80 for 50% and al40 for O2. I can get two dives out of this with rule of thirds.
I like the o2 being in the smaller tin as the buoyancy characteristics of the al40 are really nice. They are neutral when empty.
I always run a lost gas plan and for the diving I'm doing at the minute...
That's of course assuming that people even see what you are recommending as an improvement. Personally I don't. The great thing about REC mode is I can put it on the wrist of someone who is taking their first dive and all the information is relevant and clearly displayed. I simply set the...
@Joneill: thank you, can you put it in the lower left or right corner? Can you change that PO2 to something else? Can i have the mini screen with the tank pressure, the GTR and the SAC in TEC like the one you have in REC mode? I can continue the list if you wish... as I replied to tbone: it's...
I can't really see what the issue is here?
You said you had two minutes deco but when in the dive did you have that? You are talking like its 1 hours deco. Surely you can see it doesn't matter if you do a 5 minute safety stop at 6m? A 3 minute stop at 4 or a 2min stop at 3m? All ways the deco...
Are wrapping the tabs on the backpad around the plate and bolting from behind? Or just bolting it from the front. Was the item new? Who did it come from?
Thanks Katie. I really have done my homework and the only thing I have found is people saying that you can't disable the pre flash which makes using the strobe a little fiddly. Any advice/experience on that front?
Dave
Hello guys.
Let me start by saying I am in no way a photographer above or below the water. I am interested in getting into it and learning. I am looking at options for my first set up. Above the water I currently use a Lumix TZ70 and a Canon D600 SLR. I have a little experience shooting with...
