also, I haven't done this either, but some people hike their gear out to the beach side & put in there. Go around the end of the jetty & drift the incoming high tide back to the rocks by the kiddie pool & exit there. again, that's a pretty good walk to the beach when geared up.

I've never done that. It's a pretty good walk from that part of the beach to where you'll be parked. if you miss the turn, on an outgoing tide you'll be on your way to cuba... You're also required to have a dive flag.

It's best at the end & peak of incoming high tide. Once it turns & heads out viz drops off a lot. It's safest around the slack times of either high or low tides, as once it gets going the current can get ripping pretty good.

I take it back, I did break one pin. But that wasn't due to cleaning media, it was due to getting a berdan primed case in the mix without knowing it.

24 years of using corn cob, I have yet to break a decapping pin. If I do break one I think I'll get over it. Just thinking about other uses for an US cleaner.

My Mk2 is a Mk2+/R190. It's my daughters set. I've only dove it a couple of times, but from full down to 500psi I can't really tell much difference. have not experienced lower supply pressure than that with it.

you just addressed the question that came to mind from awap's post. If shims are used to increase IP by adding pressure to a spring, then what makes the IP increase over time between servicings? I would think that if the spring weakens that would lower the IP. No? I'm not asserting anything as...

that was 2 years ago, after the SP bunga bunga. I'm sure that played a part in the costs. I can only image it costs more now. there aren't any other shops here, so if I want to have a shop to the work I can use this one, drive farther each way than I really want to, or pack them up & ship them...
