if you have enough of a group you can book a boat to do what you want. if you're just 1 or 2 divers you generally get stuck with what ever the trip happens to be. the times we did night dives, it was planned as a group in advance.

yeah, most charters will be 2 tanks & night dive charters not common. every time I've done a night dive there I had a great time but they were always special deals arranged in advance.

the red sea is relatively new, it was sunk a few years ago. didn't take long to attract a lot of life. we did a night dive on it & had an eagle ray swim under us during the safety stop.

these seats fit the S wing poppet? They look correct, if so I'll buy a bunch of them.

so, best I can tell from this thread is that the 2.5mm o ring works OK on the S wing poppet in place of the 2.2mm that's hard to get here. I have found a european source, works out to about $0.21 / o ring for 100 qty cans before shipping. I haven't yet found a source for them domestically. NBR...

the Strength is the one I was trying to remember. as I recall it's 60, 65' or so to the sand. be sure to take a light & look in the holes. those fish are pretty good at hiding inside ;)

lots of inshore bridge spans, stage 2 can be good though it has a low profile. there's a barge, forget the name but it's inshore. the liberty ship. there's another inshore wreck that gets dove a lot, forget the name. quite a lot of sites without having to go offshore.

that's a good point, morrison can get flooded out but vortex never does due to their pumps.

Morrison spring is 15 minutes from Vortex. It's owned by the county, has no facilities to speak of. No dive shop, fill station etc, but it's free & another option for when the gulf is blown out.
