    Falling into Dive Boat

Ok, guys. divenxs has not come on and posted to clarify or to add to his position in over three weeks. It has been pretty much settled that any SBers with an opinion belong to one of two camps: the"divenxs is responsible, and shame on him for coming on SB looking to badmouth an operation and...

    Diversdirect.com

No experience with them as an online retailer. One of their brick and mortar stores is right down the street for me. They are knowledgeable and friendly. They are always happy to special order something for me, and returns are no hassle. I can't imagine that their online end is any worse. They...

PhD survey--need people willing to take it

I was able to view the video without having to download any additional plug-ins. I completed the survey, Robin. Good luck!

    Dive Charter Pricing

Hey everybody, I've been considering starting my own charter operation. I have put together a tentative pricing schedule, and I just want everybody's input. What do you think? How much do you think I should charge to bring them back?

    Tank help

My only comment on this situation is this: As far as AL80 costs go. I recently purchased an AL80 from my LDS. It had the pretty commercial grade finish :D, a DIN valve with the screw-in yoke converter, and a boot. It cost me $164 and change(thereabouts). That is fairly consistent with tank...

SCUBA Support and Offroad Adventure Bugout Trailer

The trailer looks great, ND! I'm gonna have to go ahead and say that you are my hero. You know, for today....at the moment. Unfortunately,(for my girlfriend)you just gave me alot of ammo to undertake some DIY projects that I've been drawing up.... Keep up the good work, and please keep us posted.

    Fins

My thoughts exactly. The only pair of fins I have owned that came with those foot pocket formers were a cheap ass pair of DeepSee fins. I dove with them for about a month before I got wise. I dive my jetfins now, would never look back. And the footpocket never warps.

    Equipment Purchase

The only thing I would add to teamcasa's list is: Zeagle They make bulletproof products. I have 2 sets of zeagle regs, I have a Ranger( and a Hollis HD100, great BC, but that's another story), my girlfriend has a Ranger LTD. The regs are great, taken them down to 112' so far with no issues...

    Bright equipment colors worth it?

It's all a matter of preference. If you think you will be sacrificing quality just because it is brightly colored, you are wrong. That being said, some of the more classic, tried and true, dive gear only comes on black(jet fins). Just do your research, find what you are comfortable using, then...

    BUY from leisurepro

I have to disagree. I actually just finished a whole mind-numbing debacle with Leisurepro that started with returning a wetsuit for a different size, thinking it was no issue, and being told it was no issue. 5 weeks later, I had no suit, I was told I was never charged for the $200 suit, and I...

    Losters and Crabs Feel Pain

You know, it's interesting you say that they feel pain. I just finished reading a very interesting study. It concluded that, oddly enough, both lobster AND crab are quite delicious when doused with a mixture of lemon juice and melted butter. I believe we should act on these findings, rather than...

    Falling into Dive Boat

Very well said, Jim. Maybe you should copy Divenxs' PM to you so that everyone can get an idea of what a level-headed, clear-thinking individual the OP obviously is. Honestly, that threat was one of the funniest things I've read in a while. At the end of the day, noone is forcing you to dive...

    Buy or rent light?

Decent lights can get very expensive very quickly. I would suggest just renting the light as you need it. Otherwise, you run the risk of going off half-cocked and buying a light you think you can grow into, but you realize it's a paperweight with a lightbulb attached. I have a little Princeton...

    Freediver takes 12' Tiger Shark

Not quite sure why you feel the need to personally attack me and call me names, samson. We're all adults here, we're not on the playground pulling pigtails here, there's no need to call people names, stinky head poopy pants(see how stupid it sounds). Perhaps I read all of the stories wrong, but...
