The Red Forest and forever abandoned city of Pripyat was never able to be cleaned and that was on land. No one is going to be able to fix a spill in the ocean. The person who comes up with the means to do so will win a Noble Peace Prize.
It takes a very loose definition of 'worst environmental...
You can also call them. 1-800-429-7234
Follow the menu. If it gets frustrating, just mash numbers. You can always get to a person and they can direct you the right way. I had a guy come into the shop who certified PADI in something like 1978. Couldn't find him on Dive Chek. Called PADI and...
I wouldn't blindly send money to them and assume it was a PADI certification. I was referring to PADI Dive Check which, for some oddball reason, can only be accessed by DMs or higher. I always thought that was a poor idea, especially if a shop with a different agency wants to verify a PADI...
Really? Seems right down his alley to me...

You can also use the diver verification links on their websites (except for PADI). I do agree with the whole idea that she should certify again. A lot has changed since then. Anytime...
May be a little young for BP/W. It takes a lot of finesse to get the buoyancy down, something she may not have yet. Not even sure harnesses are made that small. Can't advise on a BCD that "would grow with her as she grows". Probably won't find clothes that grow with her as she grows either. I'd...
So I got a deal on 4 used AL80s last week. Two were painted and the paint was pretty beat up. Anyone who knows diving knows that a) painted tanks are a bad choice to begin with and b) the color of a tank and beat up paint doesn't alter the tank's ability to hold air.
Either way, I'm considering...
In all reality it is whatever you want it to be. It's your logbook. Fill it out in whatever manner you please. Realistically logbooks are for the diver to go back and reflect on what they have done. Someone mentioned logging short in-water intervals as a way to log enough dives for the next...
If you have a bad diet then what's the point of working out like that? Diet is pretty much the first and foremost thing when working out. It is fundamental in terms of building up. Your body requires fuel to function. Then you work your body and it requires more fuel to recover and repair. Junk...
Right. That's the point I made before.
Also, no one has made mention to any agency standards. Straight from the PADI Instructor Manual:
Program Standards
Depth
Confined Water — 6 metres/20 feet.
Open Water — 12 metres/40 feet.
I'm actually surprised this concept hadn't been thought up sooner. But yes, I agree with ^. And by a "few friends" I hope that number doesn't exceed two. It looks quite small and a jetski isn't designed to move that much weight. Two people on a jet is, say they are 160 and 180, 340lbs. Now...
Hit the nail on the head with that one. Back in the late 90s/early 00s there were some guys in Florida who were in training to be pilots. Turns out they were just using airplanes rather than become pilots. Not everything is what it seems.
Because a DSD would NEVER get confused with all the new gear about which button on the LPI does what, accidentally inflate, then get into a runaway ascent from 60 feet. 'Never hold your breath' is called 'the number on rule of diving'. Not 'the only rule of diving'.
