why were they out of the water? I have gone out with them before and am planning to go again soon- great dive boat, Captain, and Flo is a wonderful dog.
We just got back from Little Cayman and stayed at Little Cayman Beach Resort which was everything I had hoped it would be. Diving was good- food unbelievable- staff incredibly nice and effective.
So my advice would be to go there to anyone who asks. I think the Oceanfront rooms are worth it...
I will be going there and was wondering if the people who get the tips want them given through the resort or separately to each group- dive masters, wait staff and housekeeping.
You did very well for a new diver- heck-even an experienced diver could get rattled by this stuff. If you do enough dives- eventually something will go wrong- equipment will fail, someone will kick your mask off, etc but you were ready mentally and so had good dives and a good vacation. It is...
Just because this is the first posting doesn't mean it isn't true. I haven't seen any rebuttals or anyone saying that they were on the boat recently and had a good experience. Also, detailed, lengthy specific information was given- it was not just a rant.
I have been using a Canon HFS21 in a Bluefin Housing and I am happy with it. I have been considering getting a backup camera and was considering the XA10 but see it is a lot more expensive than an HFS21. Does anyone know what, if anything, would make the XA10 a better choice?

I have been on quite a few liveaboards and am an introvert and find there are always places inside and outside where one can be alone. The only time that might be an exception is at meals- I think you might have a hard time finding a way to be alone or just with your partner then but usually...
It doesn't matter who the dive operator was, sometimes they get separated from us when picking up other divers who have already ascended and you don't want them right overhead when you are doing your safety stop. The boater who drove through a dive flag area at a high rate of speed in low...
Is it worth the money you may save to risk your life? There is a possibility that local dive shops will not be willing to fill the tank- others can fill you in on that because I am not sure.
The best way to advance your diving skills is to go diving- not taking another course right after OW. This instructor is not interested in you- he is interested in your money. I would find another instructor that you can trust.
50-70 degree water is cold- so you also should get a hood- it will make a big difference. I had good luck with my Neosports. I also had good luck with with scubatoys.com.
Been on many liveaboards and none had a safe and never had a problem. One time I had to leave a boat when my dive buddy got sick and all my gear, money, jewelry, clothes, cameras that were left on the boat in my room and when I picked it up over a week later, it was all there. I would not do...
I have been on the Ocean Hunter 1 and toured the Ocean Hunter 3. Both answer different needs and are good boats- if you want a small dive group- then go with OH1 but the boat is small and older than the OH3. If the boat experience is important, then you won't find a nicer boat in Palau but you...
Bring it- if you are going to do multiple dives, you will feel colder as the days go by. Make sure you bring it to the boat too- nothing worse than thinking about that wetsuit in the hotel closet when you are shivering on the boat between dives. Hope you have a great time.
