Your Meta AI instructor was spot on in every account. You have all the infomation your could ever need.
Now ask it to print out your open water certification and go dive!
A month ago you posted about going to purchase a cylinder and discussing cylinder stamping and testing. Not really something a new diver concirns themselves with.
Now you think a male instructor is going to fail you just because?
Just do your open water already!
This is such a terrible attitude that so many have.
Scammers are profesionals in their field.
We're not imbarrased if we know less about medicine than a doctor, less about engines than a mechanic, less about flying than a pilot, less about fighting than a soldier
But somehow people are stupid...
You set me up. I hit it home. Don't worry I'll give you the credit 😊
No. Pick both.
The op will drain one cylinder down leaving enough gas to reach the surface.
He will then drain the other cylinder down leaving enough gas to reach the surface.
He will then proceed to the surface with 2* the...
This is incorrect.
If you have two gas sources then you have redundancy. Having a cylinder partially drained doesn't somhow eliminate the usefullness of the remaining gas.
I can't really answer for GUE but they've been around a long time and I can't see them having maintained a procedure that is "unsafe is zero viz".
If your jump is being tied to the end of the jump line. ie creating a continuation of the line then it wouldn't cause a navigational error. Is that...
It was pointed out to me over a PM that these regs are almost identical to the deep 6 regs. Deep six post their service manuals online free for anyone so just use them to help you with your HOGs
Unless your incredibly unlucky with the direction of the swell, you'll be diving in shallow water protected by the island so don't worry too much about weather.
It's a very easy dive site! Just a few stairs down to the beach. Usually no waves at all.
Visibility is hit and miss. Just cross...
You don't have to do it every time. Take note of how much weight and stick with that.
Only need to recheck if you change equipment.
After a few more dives you'll do an end of dive weight check to fine tune your buoyancy but Steve's procedure will do for now.
Your only problem is that you've been reading too much scubaboard and watching too much dive talk. Your expectations for yourself is too high.
Where in NZ are you?
NZ has no coral at the depth your diving so don't worry too much about grabbing things if you need to. Our marine life will grow...
I've always understood that an analogue gauge is most accurate at the midpoint of its range. Therefore if you expect to be measuring 10 bar then you use a 20 bar gauge.
Pretty much.
Certainly!
I've recently found myself exploring very low vis sumps where difficult access demands that we only bring 3L (25 cubic foot) or if we're lucky, 5L( 40 cubic foot) tanks. Its shallow diving but still somewhat unsettling being squeezed in a tight restriction with such...
All rebreather mouthpieces I've seen have have hoses coming in from each side.
Is there any reason you shouldn't have one hose coming in from the side an another coming from the bottom?
Just thinking about ways to streamline two sidemount breathers
Has there been any talk about including some sort of TTS display specific for overhead environments?
I.E your computer gives you your TTS assuming that you will return along the same dive profile (allowing for correct ascent rates and decompression stops). You would have to let the computer...
Are there any other brands apart from DGX and Deep 6 that provide service manuals to the public, without needing to be a dive store or have done their training courses?
